  • The moment I read your comment, I started thinking of how I would approach disarming that thing.

The answer is that it's still dangerous. Effectively it's now an IED that the enemy is watching, and is still under the enemy's control.

The camera can still see, and you have to assume it also has remote detonation control.

To disarm it by cutting the fiber optic line, you'd have to go around it, in a manner that the immobilized drone, and any other monitoring enemy drones couldn't see you.

Better just detonate it with a dropped munition, or monitor it and wait for the Russians to risk their own butts trying to retrieve it.

  • Even more specifically, Gene Siskel was the film snobbier critic on the Siskel & Ebert At The Movies show.

His on-screen partner Roger Ebert had a much better sense of what was entertaining, while Siskel would give his "thumbs up" to more pretentious movies.

Calvin is correct when he says Siskel would probably give a "thumbs down" to typical 80s Saturday morning cartoons, which yeah were mostly actually really bad.

  • No, TBATE is actually just fine.

Blue Lock is famously powerpoint animation, but it actually works well. I think of it as an animated manga panels, kind of like 60s Thor/Hulk/Sub Mariner/Captain America cartoons. Actually Blue Lock does throw in some sakuga at appropriate times.

If you really want to see bad animation, watch Teogonia episode 1, but I don't want to trash it too much because the art and story have their merits.

I posted an example of the weird combination of good art/bad animation in Teogonia episode 2

  • Oh no, the tortures of living in a socially progressive consumerist society!

I think the real torture for the Princess would be returning to the technologically, socially and economically backward Kingdom.

Then again, she's a member of the ruling class, so it's not like she would go back to be a miserable starving peasant.

  • I think it's pretty cool too. It feels very relatable.

I know that I had to overcome that kind of fear when I was growing up, and I still do.

Why (Bodega Bay) is pivoting from its iconic fishing industry

  • You might not, but someone is out there who can't draw, or doesn't want to put the time in to master making the art they want to see, or doesn't want to pay fair rates for labor to put art in their content to make it look pretty for commercial purposes.

Either way, actual human artists are losing their economic leverage to make a living.

Easter cakes were delivered to Ukrainian Defenders at the frontline by drones

    from https://t.me/pravdaGerashchenko_en/39068

For Easter, in the Novopavlivskyi direction, Easter cakes were delivered to Ukrainian Defenders at the frontline by drones.

6,000 Easter cakes were blessed the day before in St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery in Kyiv.

The Easter cakes were delivered to the most distant points on the front line by drone operators under constant Russian shelling.
