Never spent much time on Yerba Buena or Treasure Island, but went on a clear day and the views were killer. Cool little restaurant called Mer-Sea was nice to have lunch at. Whatup Yay Areaaaa. Been fiddling around on Lemmy and trying to understand the Fediverse. Feeling very old in the process, ha. I'm enjoying it for the most part. Though modern life has gotten me used to the firehose of content that comes at you on Reddit et al.
Super glad to call this place home. Life ain't normal but it does feel like we have this shell of insulation from immediate danger here. I mean, I'm not naive, a lot of the power and wealth is literally here fucking shit up but we've got a lot of good folks who care, so that's nice.
This year, I want to check out a Ballers game. Maybe road trip through the coastal redwoods. Focus on local action and community. Do garbage walks around the neighborhood. Whatcha getting up to? I mean in addition to surviving and whatnot. I wish you tasty tacos in your future.

SF orders workers to go 4x a week in-office
San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie is ordering thousands of city employees back to the office at least four days a week, part of a move to strengthen city services while injecting life into the city’s struggling downtown.
In a memo obtained by SFGATE, Lurie set an April 28 deadline for full implementation, directing the Department of Human Resources to oversee the transition. The order primarily affects around 10,000 office-based employees who currently work hybrid schedules.
The fire at the Vistra Corp. lithium-ion battery storage facility in Moss Landing flared again late Tuesday afternoon but has since died down, a North Monterey County fire chief told Lookout on Thursday. Crews will continue monitoring the facility.

A string of recent killings across the United States have been tied to a fringe online group described as a “death cult.” The complex web of violence includes a samurai sword attack in Vallejo, the stabbing of a landlord and a deadly shootout near the Canadian border.
Many of the people linked to the violence are connected to a fringe online community known as the “Zizians,” the investigation found. The group is a radical offshoot of the Rationalism movement, focusing on matters such as veganism and artificial intelligence destroying humanity.
