  • Neither. I say either.

  • Game-changer for women in space.

  • We're going to start fetishizing "living together" now because the rent is too damn high.

  • I still write my code in calligraphy.

  • There are rules. But rich people don't have to follow them. It's domination. Not anarchy/anarchism.

Edit: Okay now I see the /S. Not deleting though lol.

  • "Anarchist" lololol

Yeah, using the corporate product that stole all individuals' work to regurgitate abortions from billionaire oligarch's algorithms is totally "anarchist."

  • Meshuggah, early Mastodon, Death, Slayer.

  • I've been using bandcamp and normal music playing apps. Always hated Spotify.

  • Drinking less is probably good. I doubt that automatically leads to less dating.

  • Reverse anal?

Is that where you push your ass inside someone's dick?

  • Strictly speaking, DEI absolutely does NOT cover all "minority" hires. DEI is when we say, "We need more people of group X regardless of all other factors." I really doubt they married their wives for the sake of diversity. So they're nit DEI.

  • I happen to be a ham expert and this is unlike any ham I've encountered. Verdict: hero dog.

  • Now they look like fools!

  • Nice. Maybe now Microsoft will respond by offering non-subscription options inventing a new proprietary industry-standard file format so their bloated ransomware remains mandatory.

  • This is the answer.

How have you defined base objects in your game?

I'm making an RPG in C++ and the items (loot/gear) will have immutable base versions, but then the player can get instantiations of them which can change with use and modification. These mutable instantiations will be saved in the DB. But I'm wondering if the base versions should be defined in JSON, or a separate DB (with the same schema), or maybe the same DB (seems dangerous), or if I should just hardcode them in C++ in the ItemFactory.

How have you approached this problem in your games? How do game engines do it? I'm using SDL2 so I'm doing most of these systems from scratch.

    Why I’m learning C++

    oldmoney.pattmayne.com Why I’m learning C++ - @pattmayne blog

I started programming ten years ago as a hobby. There was a game I wanted to make. I was really just interested in the technical problem of working out the game mechanics. So I read a fantastic textbook about Java and made the basic game as an Android app. I'm embarrassed to admit that I

What are some fediverse apps that need contributors?

I'm a decent developer, but with only a couple years' professional experience and no formal training. I'm looking for open source projects to contribute to (ideally pick one or two and get dedicated to them).

I'm open to small or large projects.

I'm using this as my source of options:

    https://fediverse.party/en/miscellaneous/

But I'm curious if there are other ones, or if you all have ideas about which ones are needing and deserving help.

    Thanks!

Have they discontinued Keychron's optical low profile switches?

These mint and banana low profile optical switches are the perfect switches. They're almost clicky, early tactile bump, and they sound and feel so good. There are no other switches like them (that I've found). But they never seem to be available in the stores anymore.

Maybe the Gateron ones are as good?

Are there any guides, tutorials, or documentation for how to start building fediverse apps?

How is the best way to get started building apps in the fediverse?

Story plotting app idea I'm working on

Please tell me if you think this would be useful for you.

I'm working on a story plotting app which focuses on value changes as the basis of the app. For each section of the story (beat, chapter, act) there are value changes (characters getting closer or further from some goal, threat, or other value). And I want to visualise these changes on a graph, so you can see how everybody's fortunes rise and fall.

There will still be the standard components, something similar to index cards to plot out the actual action of each chapter and beat. But the unique addition that I'm bringing here is you can see everybody's changes of fortune, like watching the stock market, or maybe like reading music.

It will be a desktop application (written in python and JavaScript).

So, does anybody think this would be useful to your writing? Are there other things you might want to see added to such a piece of software?

DreamBerd is the funniest programming language ever.

It's basically a comedic programming language, and it's amazing and beautiful and I love it.

I haven't used it, of course. I just read the documentation:

Is there any way to edit orders after they've been made?

I ordered a new keyboard from keychron.ca but forgot to update my address since the last time I ordered (I moved to a new city). So now the order is paid, not yet fulfilled, but I can't get through to help and there's no option for changing the address.

I sent them an email and I keep waiting for somebody to be available in the chat. I don't want to relax too much or wait too long, just in case they send it to the wrong address. At that point it will be too late.

Has anybody dealt with a similar situation from Keychron?

Edit: They did finally respond and changed the shipping address in the backend (it does not appear in my order listing but I'll trust them that it's changed in the places that matter).

A response to all the responses to all the responses to Sync's pricing

I never saw anybody complaining about Sync or its pricing. But I've been inundated with bad memes about how it's wrong to criticize Sync.

It's like how right wingers keep complaining about the war on Christmas and how you're not allowed to say "merry christmas" anymore... but I never heard anybody say "don't say merry Christmas."

I had downloaded Sync and I was 100% going to try it... but now I hate it because of this ad campaign. And yes, I know that's irrational, and no, I don't care! I'll donate to Jerboa and Connect and I'll keep using them until the Sync zealots relax a little.
