I have been working on Lemvotes, a tool to check who voted on a Lemmy post. In this blog post, I will describe how it works and the ethics of such a tool.
That's how I read it at first
The user votes are already public, this tool only makes it simpler to get the votes. Companies like Meta, for example, could set up a Lemmy instance, not tell anyone they are running it and get all the votes.
I'm quite thin, so nope I guess I do have a black hole in my stomach.
Once I get HRT I'll eat these kinds of portions more regularly to increase its effects.
My brothers and I use 500g... for 3 people. Yes we do eat a lot. And that's without the pesto, cheese etc
That's how piefed works iirc
Which features would you like to see in Lemvotes?
I have no idea at all how to make a browser extension, I can try I guess but that's of lower priority, as I will try to have it use activitypub directly.
Mods too? I assume just for the communities they moderate
Oh, yeah I haven't added support for entering URLs from stuff that isn't Lemmy. I will try to add it though, thanks for pointing this out!
Thanks for the heads up, will fix it asap
Which URL did you use?

Yeah I am a bit paranoic sometimes about it too
Draw her programming with a kitty on the desk
Yep, amazing tool. I use my own instance.
I don't have any TwT
Might buy them at some point to gain a 200% programming boost, and of course paired with a skirt.
You can also put a backslash before a newline, like this
undefined
Line1\ Line2\ Line3
Looks like this:
Line1
\
Line2
\
Line3
Without the backslashes: Line1 Line2 Line3
With two newlines:
Line1
Line2
Line3
Also check out this Markdown tutorial , it's very helpful.
I like the color scheme of the buttons in the top right
yeah htop
is useful on a phone
btw to format inline code blocks, put a single backtick on each side of the code, like this: btop
.
Do you use poweroff or suspend on your Linux systems? Why?
I use Ubuntu btw. Poweroff could use more write cycles on the SSD because it has to read everything at startup, but suspend has to keep supplying power to the RAM

Why did Mojang make a whole new edition instead of just rewriting Minecraft in C++?
Basically title, this thing with two editions of the game slows down development because they now have to write the same thing twice and it splits the userbase. They also don't want to make Bedrock edition for Linux for some reason.
