Java versioning
Hi _^
I usually keep to the latest java version, because I like using the new features!
But I did some light contextual testing (user story stuff) and found that a lot of pre-built server jars are not necessarily on the latest java.
This usually causes classpath issues which I think could be a block for why people haven't started using the plugin (as it appears to not work).
Is there a sweet spot or convention I should stick to? Like, for example

Also, how do you check yourself in this lonely period; before you have actual server owners/testers providing these reports/feedback?
I have a hard enough time finding 5 players, much less 100k
As the Minecraft movie attracts thousands of new fans to Mojang’s classic, a groundbreaking mod pushes the building game’s outer limits.
I'd still play it though!

A short introduction about Hit Selecting (1.8 or below only)
Hit selecting is one of the most powerful methods in 1.8 PvP, although it only truly became popular after 2022, mainly because of the Boxing and Ranked BedWars communities.
Do keep in mind that this is mainly taken from a GitHub issue I made for a cheat client — nonetheless, everything still applies perfectly.
There are multiple phenomenons which make hit selecting exceedingly useful, so I'll start from that:
1: Due to how combat mechanics work, you can get free hits / combos if you hit at a different time than your opponent, given the correct distance.
2: Hit selecting makes you hit the ground earlier — this may lead to you being faster, which, combined with a sprint resetting technique, will make you deal more knockback than your opponent, potentially allowing you to initiate a combo. In many servers, there is also a Spigot fork that has custom knockback, perhaps including a ground and a sprint multiplier — making the advantage even g
Best Minecraft server wrapper?
I'm being very hyperbolic with the title for this post but I just want know what are some Minecraft server wrappers that you like to use. I kinda want to switch from Crafty Controller if there is a better alternative.
I have heard of AMP and LinuxGSM but haven't given them a try.
My pain points have been managing mods and mod loader. From what I know and would like to be proven wrong is that you can't remove mods or add mods thought the Crafty Controller web ui, I would have use a file manager.
Unofficial Discord server where some Mojang developers and modders are discussing the rendering overhaul that Minecraft java edition is going through
I've started a _very unofficial_ discord server where some mojang developers and modders are discussing the rendering overhaul that Minecraft java edition is going through. It's free for all to read (though it's likely quite technical 😅), but only relevant modders can speak. discord.gg/eWmK8p565c h...
I know Bedrock is kind of a cash grab, but...
Is it just me or does it feel smoother? Because even with mods I've never been able to get java to run without some level of jankiness. I have a realm server I share with friends entirely because of the ability to have mods work and gameplay to be smooth.
If I'm wrong about this, would be nice to know how you get Java to run smoothly, I miss Mystcraft.
Semi-Literate Roleplay Servers?
Probably a long shot but does anyone know of any roleplay servers or places that have an active rp community?
Not huge into geopolitics, like to focus on character development. Fantasy/Medieval/Sci-Fi themes preferred because it’s what I know best.
"I Supercharged the Hermitcraft Postal System" - My most complex Redstone project yet
I've been working on-and-off on this project for over a year and am really excited to share this! It's a revamped version of the 'Hermitcraft Postal System', with greatly improved speeds and some really cool extra uses like teleportation and online shopping. Hope you enjoy!
I don't play Bedrock so if you want a free Bedrock item here ya go
Edit: someone claimed it already, enjoy your item :D
Hopefully this is allowed here. Please comment if you claimed it already, thank you!
