  • Gamepass is pretty legit ngl. Although I’m still on an original Xbox one

  • I am not a doctor and I’m not one of those “psychedelics solve everything they’re special natural medicine” hippies, but I knew an extremely straight edge guy (didn’t even drink) once who got the worst migraines, he eventually heard that microdosing magic mushrooms worked for him! Might be worth looking into, I know nothing about why it works or whatever, maybe it was just a placebo for him.

Good luck comrade, hope you can find some relief.

    I’m posting from the shower

The government doesn’t want you to know we can post while in the shower because it wants to keep commies off the internet for at least five minutes a month

  • lol the Alex jones types will be having a field day with this one

  • US has always been authoritarian if you aren’t wealthy and preferably white. Ask the black panthers, MOVE, George Floyd, the victims of McCarthyism, those killed at Blair Mountain, native Americans…

Are all languages equally dialectically malleable?

I remember reading once about a movement trying to keep French from evolving (lol). And I’ve been thinking about how we have old English and Middle English and modern English, and how to someone living in the grey area they wouldn’t have known they were living in a time of their language being revolutionised (?). Or maybe people did? I’m not a linguist lol.

But yeh it got me thinking, is English a language that is particularly in flux compared to say, Korean? If it is, what makes a language more or less fast in its development over time? More or less insular/isolated societies of speakers must enter into it I guess?

I dunno I guess I’m just shooting the shit because I find language interesting. Let’s talk about interesting linguistic things. I swear I am not high.

Does anyone know why my jade is getting wrinkly?

Some of the leaves on this jade are getting kinda wrinkly and losing their springiness, I definitely don’t think it’s being underwatered. Any ideas? It’s not in the sunniest spot is that maybe the issue?

  • Good. They should ban all cisgender people next. The US military is an imperial death machine and every person not involved is good.

  • Is this the kid that got fired from his old job for leaking trade secrets lol

  • Oh no no more imf loans and structural adjustments for South Africa!

    …anyways…

  • Selling regulatory credits is by and large how they’ve made money over the years

  • I always figured you burned the same amount of energy more or less - you’re moving the same mass the same distance, just slower or faster.

Can my bird of paradise grow back from just the roots?

My potted indoor bird of paradise had its only remaining stem snapped off in the wind the other day, now it is totally bare above ground except for a few old stems… is there any chance it will recover or should I just throw it out?
