Milly Cirus is a trend setter.
Thank you!
Yup, I thought I'd fake tattoos. It's a part I'm not happy with as it looks like I faked tattoos. Lesson learned.
If I were to make a comic with this character I'd probably try to use a reason like that to explain it. But explaining why everyone else is also in their underwear would be difficult.
Maybe every issue would be at the beach only? 😂
Did the 2nd and 4th tentacle appreciate this work as you were doing it?
And where exactly does a tentacle get its own tears from to paint with?
Clothing is hard.
Krita looks really cool, hadn't heard of it until right now. The UI looks intense for my phone but maybe on my tablet. Might be a good in-between before GiMP on a PC.
Thank you for introducing me to it.
I almost got one but went with Android instead. I already have a Windows laptop and getting a second one seemed duplicative.
If I get to the end of this machine maybe I'll upgrade that too.
And I don't think I said I use Android here. I started doing this all on my phone that has a pen and slowly upgraded.
Doesn't look like that is on Android. Unless I missing something.....
Will do!
One day I absolutely will! It's on the list.
Thank you!!
I use Sketchbook by Autodesk. Not the most robust piece of software, it doesn't compare to GiMP or Photoshop in features which is why I like it so much. Those tools have so much I get lost and my workflow is just so frustrating while I try to find things. This gets the job done super easily. Maybe one day when I am at the edge of what this app can do I'll move to GiMP but right now it has more than I can use.
I haven't played that game but I love being compared to such a popular work! I wanted a fire based LGBTQ+ character with tattoos and piercings.
The clothing choice is because clothes are hard... Harder than hands it seems 😂
Edit: I just looked up Vi, she's way cooler than this. Those robotic arms are fabulous!
Yes they are! And that's fire 🔥🔥🔥
But what am I going to do without my tiny dick support vehicle? /s
Baconday
A special day in celebration of celery. 🤣🥓
Meet Torchborn
Trying to get back to creative work instead of just replication. This is my first attempt with my new skills, it's not bad but there are things I'm very much not happy with like her left hand for example. But I'm done struggling with it and ready to move on.
He likes it. Makes a good phone wallpaper.
That's a wholesome "are you wishing son" if I ever saw one.
Pretty sure that's called the heat death of the universe.
Entropy is a bitch, right?
Why so serious?
This is easily the hardest portrait I've painted yet. His makeup was almost impossible. I'm glad I took on the challenge. To be fair I didn't think it would be hard, I was just thinking about how much I love the movie.
My unpopular opinion: I like Bane from the third movie a bit better. Tom did so much with his eyebrows!
RIP Dad
My Dad passed away earlier this year from cancer.
The reference photo was taken when my brothers and I took him to DC for his 70th birthday. It was an amazing trip with a lot of laughs and good times.
Unfortunately he didn't make it to his 80th birthday trip.
It was cathartic painting this. I miss you Dad!
I AM IRON MAN!
Iconic scene in a great end to a plethora of movies and a great character arc. I read these comics as a kid and always wanted to see them on the big screen. Up through End Game they did not disappoint.
Daniel Ricardo
Daniel Ricardo is my favorite F1 racer! He doesn't have a seat this year and may never again, but he's still my favorite. Such a neat dude!
I'm also trying to find "my style", they've all been pretty much just a replication of the source material. This is a shot at it.
I can get a good look at a T-bone by sticking my head up a bull's ass, but I'd rather take a butcher's word for it.
My wife LOVES LOVES LOVES Tommy Boy, I painted this for her and she loves it too!
What's your favorite quote from Tommy Boy? Is it "Brothers don't shake hands, brothers gotta hug?" Cuz that's mine! But only said with Chris Farley's inflection and when nobody expects it!
Can I paint Leeloo from Fifth Element?
Almost as fast as Milla Jovovich can say multipass!
Can I paint Amy Poehler?
Looks like her to me. She's my wife's favorite actor, and we're going to see her and Tina Faye at Red Rocks later this year and we cant wait.
PS: I can't upload images again, no idea why. So I linked it to my DA account. Hope this works!?
Can I paint Peter Dinklage?
I'm particularly proud of this one. Also my favorite character in Game of Thrones.
Can I paint Jeff Bridges?
I've had my fill of family, now I'm going to select portraits of different famous people I like and see if I can paint them
My mom
This is from my favorite photo of her, she's looking at one of my kids and just how happy she is to be in the moment looking at the children I love was special to me. She's not a fan of any picture that makes her look older than 29 unfortunately.
My wife and I in Yellowstone

For whatever reason I can't just upload an image these days. So I'm trying this instead.
What Is Leno’s Law? (California Senate Bill 712 Explained)
If it passes, Leno's Law would exempt all 35+ year-old vehicles from smog inspections in California if they're covered by collector vehicle insurance.
We have something like this in Colorado and I incorrectly assumed it was the same everywhere. I hope it goes through for California.
My youngest
They have so much style. No idea how they ended up with so much style when my wife and I probably have negative style.
My son
When I asked my son if I could post this he replied "AAAAAAAA! MY FACE FOR THE WHOLE INTERNET TO SEE? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO /s nah post that shit it was fire asf"
I think that means yes.
My daughter
She gave me permission to post this as long as I don't share her name. But she didn't say I couldn't tell you she was our fire bug. She's given us a grandchild and is still grounded for lighting the carpet in her bedroom on fire.
I did this on my samsung phone using #sketchbook by autodesk.
Retro cars and coffee
Retro Rally cars & coffee The Retro Rally festival was cancelled, which was a shame because I was very keen on it. But fortunately some folks hosted a meetup at the Lane 88 museum to make up for it. This was the first one a busy weekend I had just last month! #rallycars #rally #carshow #classiccar...
I'm definitely going to the wrong cars and coffee compared to this. In my 20s I owned a Saab 900 with a turbo (but no turn name badge) and it was far more fun than it looked. Instead of a beautiful red like this it was baby shit green and matt paint because the gloss later had been gone for years and never replaced. That's the car I finally learned the lesson that oil changes are important when it left me stranded over a mountain pass at 6am due to a thrown rod (third car I did that too)...
