  • Seriously is anyone else noticing these @reddthat accounts that are only a few hours old, posting ask Lemmy questions?

  • Tumblr

  • I’m gonna have to go with REC! The reason for filming was believable, plus it being an all around great movie in general

  • Yeah they’re all tabletop. If there was one for general RPG games, I would’ve been joined. Missed opportunity for sure

  • How the heck. Must’ve come around that corner too fast?

  • Saw pictures of the turnout in Bakersfield. 4,000 people there is amazing.

  • I can’t believe they’re even the same bird. Pictures 1 and 2 look so different! xD

  • I like bass and listen to a lot of metal so. It’s all pretty heavy lol

But I’m gonna throw in the pipe organ. The biggest, loudest, most badass instrument that fills entire cathedrals and sub bass that shakes your house. Your sound system needs to be able to produce that though.

  • I was gonna say, I thought North Koreans are completely disconnected from the internet. They have government propaganda intranet.

  • Ain’t no controversy there, it was promotion for the movie

  • Hell yeah! Money shottt!

  • It is kind of hilarious lol I just figure what’s the point of accumulating all this wealth

  • I’ve been seeing a more of these new accounts from reddthat that post on ask communities, always with a story of some sort

  • Wuthering Heights (1939)

  • IMO he probably knows he’s gonna die soon, so this 2nd term is all about locking up money for his kids.

  • You can use sansho pepper. It has the same spicy numbing effect but comes from Japan, and they often have it as a condiment for you to add to taste

  • Excel

  • The ending was great. Nice payoff.

  • I’m more disturbed that it was 42 years ago lol. Doesn’t even sound that old!

Kurzgesagt – South Korea Is Over

South Korea is heading toward a demographic collapse unlike anything the world has seen before. With the lowest fertility rate ever recorded and a rapidly aging population, the country faces a future of economic decline, shrinking cities, cultural erosion, and a vanishing workforce.

By 2060, nearly half of South Koreans could be over the age of 65, and entire regions may be abandoned as the population continues to shrink.

How did South Korea reach this point? Why might it no longer be possible to reverse the trend? And what does this mean for other countries on a similar path?

Although it was late, I sat in the living room snacking and watching a true crime documentary from my phone, which admittedly was giving me the creeps

when I happened to glance up at my TV and see the reflection of a shadowy figure behind me.

    I turned to scream

The Boo Radleys – There She Goes (1993)

Cover of "There She Goes" by The La's. Recorded for the soundtrack of So I Married an Axe Murderer (1993) starring Mike Myers.

I'm a fan of The Boo Radleys and didn't know they covered this (just watched the movie). I like it better than the original lol they picked up the tempo and it sounds less polished. :)

String of recent killings linked to Bay Area 'death cult'

A string of recent killings across the United States have been tied to a fringe online group described as a “death cult.” The complex web of violence includes a samurai sword attack in Vallejo, the stabbing of a landlord and a deadly shootout near the Canadian border.

Many of the people linked to the violence are connected to a fringe online community known as the “Zizians,” the investigation found. The group is a radical offshoot of the Rationalism movement, focusing on matters such as veganism and artificial intelligence destroying humanity. The group is apparently named after a person known as “Ziz,” whom Open Vallejo identified as a former tenant on Lind’s Vallejo property.

Saltwater corrodes firefighting equipment and may harm ecosystems, especially those like the chaparral shrublands around Los Angeles that aren’t normally exposed to seawater. Gardeners know that small amounts of salt – added, say, as fertilizer – does not harm plants, but excessive salts can stress and kill plants.

The Raiders fired GM Tom Telesco

I can't believe this happened! This is such a mindfuck. How do you fire a GM after one year? No matter what happened with the Chargers, I thought Telesco did a good job actually, especially drafting.
I'm thinking this must mean the Raiders already have a coach coming that wants their own GM, someone with the cache to make that kind of demand, a la Pete Carroll, Ben Johnson, Bill Belichik (ugh) or Gruden.
