It'd be much more reliable if we can see the real data that shows how much these employees cost the company.
It's the consumer bandwagon.
We shall see.
Use a VPN. Here's a free one: https://riseup.net/en/vpn
Go to a torrent site, such as https://1337x.to/
Search the movie you want, find a torrent that suits you.
Download and watch.
Here's a free streaming site: https://hydrahd.sh/
You may have to go through the uBlock Origin settings and add/update all the blocklists.

Does anyone know how to play PS1 games online?
I'm currently using the emulator Duckstation, but I'd be willing to switch to a different one if it's easier to set up online play.
It's mainly because making GUIs primarily in code is cumbersome and outdated.
That's fair. I think a hybrid solution of owning/streaming is best.
Free streaming sites are the easiest way to watch something and we should be recommending them more often.
No, it's anti-consumerism.
This generation has sold itself out to the lowest bidder, so it makes some sense that we have to look to the past for how to live with more self-respect.
Even better, if it supports LAN you can torrent it and with friends for free with a program such as Hamachi.
In the original version of Oblivion, they run like they do in Morrowind.
It was until Skyrim that Bethesda properly implemented partially turning the character when running sideways or diagonally.
Pretty sure your concept is flawed from the start.
It might sound nice as a 'what-if' scenario, but as soon as you get into any of the details, it falls apart and hopefully shows us why games and stories are typically focused on the people doing something.
Now, if you want something a bit more likely to succeed, you can make a "Damsel in Distress Simulator." From the get-go, you can start to think of gameplay mechanics like combing your hair, talking with guards, taking care of birds, etc etc. The ideas just flow, instead of trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.
In fact, this could loop around to your idea of helping the rescuers by opening up opportunities for the princess to sabotage her captors. You can have a Majora's Mask-like timer which keeps track of how far the knight is from saving you.
Seriously.
Aren't there enough PVP games that center around rewarding whoever puts more time into the game?
Who are you quoting?
You should have an adblocker like ublock origin or Adnauseam installed.
Dunning-kruger effect on full display right here.
This guy thinks he knows so much, yet doesn't even know about adblockers. Sad.
As for thr PC, automatically turning the player is honestly a bad idea in first person. It can be disorienting for some palyers.
I'm referring to 3rd person. You can't see the character model in first person.
NPCs don't have a camera following them, so they can't run in a different direction than what it's facing.

Why don't Oblivion and Morrowind turn the character model when you run in different directions?
Is it laziness? A skill issue? Did they really just not know how to do it and say "that's good enough"?
3D rotations require quite a bit of MATH, it wouldn't surprise me if they couldn't figure it out and decided it wasn't worth the effort.
Hm. I was able to play it without issue on my Linux computer.
I don't see a reason why the Steam Deck would be unable to play it or have any issues that I didn't.
If buying it is a concern (which it should be), you can always torrent it.

Unpopular opinion: Naruto is better than Shippuden.
I didn't watch Shippuden until way later in my life, and to be honest I was kind of disappointed by it.
I recall my peers constantly praising it as being "so much better" than Naruto, but I just don't see it. It's also not what I thought it would be like.
Shippuden ended up being a lot more like Dragonball Z and less about ninja wars in between the villages.
I would've liked to see more blood and weapons, broken bones, and fewer energy blasts.
It's kind of ironic, because a lot of what I expected Shippuden to be like was explored in the Obito flashbacks. It's ironic because while that's what I expected and would've liked to see more of, I almost feel like it was too bleak and 'colorless' to be a high-point of the series.
I dunno, there's also something about seeing kids fighting that adds an extra layer of significance to whatever is going on.

Do you think Square Enix should remake other Final Fantasy entries?
Seems like a goldmine of content for them to work on for the next decade+. Plenty of people will never experience these worlds or stories due to the turn-based combat, so giving them the Remake treatment could be the only way an audience ever finds them.
I would like to see FF8 remade next. It's the next logical choice becauase 8 comes after 7 and it's a solid world to leave the FF7 rut for.
The rest could be good, too, but FF8 would probably be the easiest to pull off successfully.
