  • Great, are other countries following the terrible US structure of Fucked healthcare so that more billionaires can be made or more corrupt political power could be had??!

Someone find the last checkpoint from 2000 and start over. We night lose progress of 26 years but at least we can fix/make improvements now that we know how the game works.

  • My last x-ray confirmed all my wisdom teeth are in fine, but I have another set behind then which might cause issues by putting pressure and causing misalignment. I'm approaching 40 so it's never been an issue, until I have a cold and the sinus pressure make my face feel like it's going to explode!

It's seriously so uncomfortable, like I chewed up some jawbreakers and then got punched in the face a few times on both sides. I almost wouldn't mind having the surgery to remove all 8+ wisdom teeth.

  • While I love and still use LibreOffice, there are sometimes slight compatibility/formatting issues between documents made in .docx on LO and MO. We have TS users at work and MS broke the function of TS install requiring all users to be licensed, so and LibreOffice. Sometimes users get weird issues with formulas not translating in spreadsheets and same with visual basic, so in those instances, I've had to create a 2nd file and rewrite those VB code.

I also FWD myself my resume and open at work so I can ensure my own stuff looks good in either format/program. I have noticed the latest version of Office supports .ODF extensions, which is pretty cool

  • Still won't be able to afford it

  • Invest in Nvidia yourself

  • Thanks, good to know

  • They get offended when they show it off and the guy they wanted to notice didn't, so anyone else "is a creep" for looking lol

  • Here's my $.02

Israeli intelligence has tech that they claimed was able to reverse engineer Signal encryption. They likely hacked/uncovered US gov info from chats and are blackmailing/extorting Trump into whatever shit Israel wants them to do. By no means am I sticking up for Trump, but there's probably some deal where they can both profit from it, so Israel leveraged secret data and positioned US to help out. Of course anything for another buck, so trump is in.

Then to justify it to the American people, "they have weapons of mass destruction" like the Bush admin did, so by these claims they just do what they want.

These are the vibes I get without reading any news articles. I don't follow Iran, Gaza, Israel, Palestine, etc. It's not my business. I just know that Trump likes money, likes corruption, and like to fuck anyone over any chance he gets. He's probably the one who replaced Epstein and runs his own operation, because he thinks he can do it better, and since he's sitting president, he thinks no one will step up and face him-which is mostly true because he got dirt on so many other politicians... Corruption at its finest.

Elon Musk’s Secret Web of Companies in Texas - The New York Times

By Kirsten GrindSusanne Craig and Alex Klavens

    Produced by Leo Dominguez

Kirsten Grind reported from Austin and Bastrop, Texas, as well as San Francisco. Susanne Craig and Alex Klavens reported from New York.

    Feb. 27, 2026

In 2020, Elon Musk announced he was moving to Texas from California and embarking on a personal austerity campaign to strip his life of belongings.

“I am selling almost all physical possessions,” he posted on social media. “Will own no house.”

But in the years since, Mr. Musk, 54, has quietly built an empire of more than 90 companies and other legal entities in Texas, which have amassed a vast collection of assets, according to an examination by The New York Times.

The secretive network offers a glimpse into just how central one of the world’s richest men, who has a net worth of more than $650 billion, has made Texas to his operations and ambitions. More than 50 of his at least 90 companies there are subsidiaries or other entities affiliated with his business empire, such as the rocket company SpaceX and the electric vehicle maker Tesla, as well as his nonprofit Musk Foundation.

But The Times identified at least 37 companies that appeared to be largely for Mr. Musk’s personal use. Among them was one that owns two multimillion-dollar condominiums totaling more than 7,000 square feet in the Austin Proper Hotel, with sweeping views of downtown. Other companies managed planes that Mr. Musk uses for private travel and a portfolio of more than 1,000 acres of land, which when combined is bigger than Central Park in New York. The lines between Mr. Musk’s business and personal interests are often blurry, and some of the companies most likely served both purposes.

The Times’s examination also offers a window into how Mr. Musk used private companies to support Donald J. Trump during the 2024 election. Tapping these companies to cover the expenses of a super PAC is highly unusual, campaign finance experts said, and ended up obscuring how money was being spent because they are not subject to the disclosure requirements of super PACs.

The vehicle that Mr. Musk frequently turned to is one that many of the ultrarich use: limited liability companies, which are designed to shield owners from legal and financial risks, as well as public scrutiny. Whatever Mr. Musk’s intent, the effect of using these companies has been to disguise how he is spending his money.

  • Idk about studies, but we have a 10x20 garden plus numerous fruit trees, and it hardly feeds us for a few days look. We end up growing a lot of tomatoes, cucumber, and other stuff that can easily be canned like pasta/pizza sauce, salsa, pickles, jellies/jams, etc cuz we either can't eat it all when ripe and a lot goes bad, or we eat what we can and freeze it. We also use a lot of the stuff for our pets (making food) that's ripe but maybe not pleasant looking lol. We spent so much on a deep freezer, canning supplies, storage racks it takes a couple years to recoup the costs.

Other than that, it does feel good to be partially self-sustainable. Its also nice in the summer to walk outside and just eat stuff fresh off the vine! Plus no preservatives.

  • When I get my tax refund, I'm looking at setting this up!

  • Epstein as a woman?

  • Hhaha married with kids. We had this debate though a few times lmao

  • Asklemmy @lemmy.ml

You're a superhero and you just finished your Taco Bell...

  • I'll eat them like this all day. Who tf cares about eating them individually?! More efficient in the picture.

  • My understanding is the password manager is fully local to the device. Its only compromise-able if you back it up to their cloud. Same goes for the authenticator.

  • I find it extremely difficult to believe they'd actually care about the full privacy with no back doors into the network, being that a venture capitalist company funded them..

  • But, what about Session? It's decentralized, E2EE, uses Lokinet, seems pretty solid, no?

No phone, email, or other info needed to sign up

  • Dude, yeah, I sure hope they're as committed as they say... Ever since I saw Halo on the OG Xbox I was hooked. I felt like I was betraying Nintendo and Sega, but some titles like Jet Set Radio Future and Sega GT made their way to Xbox, with their Dreamcast style controller and memory packs, so it felt natural to go that route.

I don't even want to think about the money I spent in this ecosystem, but I'd bet its easily over $25k!
