  • The only exception to unions for all

  • I'm an infrastructure engineer working at a government contractor and I'm in a union with OPEIU 1010, the tech workers' local. Others are unionizing independently, with CWA, etc.. It's still early days for the tech industry but there are examples. We're really not that different from other industries with a larger union presence.

  • Except it maybe will happen like in Don't Look Up

  • But it's not entirely sequential

  • News

  • Nope

  • Kinda sad neither the article nor comments here mention https://ask.metafilter.com/

  • *realize (because they only speak American in hell)

  • I just got an onhub router working again thanks to openwrt. Many blessings upon them!

  • Dunkey made this beautiful

  • Whoa if you think about it that's true about fire alarms too

  • Not just at CD Projekt. This is a trade union!

  • Thanks!

  • It's just our legislators helping to kick off Striketober! But seriously this is a terrible pain in the ass for anyone who actually depends on government services (which on some level is pretty much all of us).

  • This is brother and sister Yeti and Sassy (short for Sasquatch). Yeti has only one eye.

  • Same. And I fixed the 720p with a resistor kit a few years ago when it fritzed out. Some terminal fonts look great on those chunky pixels.

Just want a solid gaming laptop

My mom likes to play No Man's Sky and Valheim, but her Asus TUF started freezing on games. RMA found no problems and sent it back to her but it still happens. I ordered a Legion for her but now I see these posts about all Nvidia 40-series laptops freezing up. What's a gaming mom supposed to do?
