as a person who’s wife is a very very mean drunk - like physically and emotionally - I just have been conditioned to think “those are the things she really thinks but hides. i am worthless and poor.”

wife is alcoholic. standard mean girl. i am lonely. ten years married. my first wife died in my arms when I was 31. many years older now but I still miss the days when I was good enough. just good enough. not just a paycheck. when I was worth being attracted to even. i am tired of living check to check. being told to bring home a “juice box of wine.” being gaslit if I bring up my concerns. or my worries. or my stresses or self care.

i don’t understand - true (late stage/elderly/aged) capitalists are fascist because fascism is what it takes to keep a dying capitalist class alive after it “peacefully” extracted all it can from the working class.

i think “progressive” as a concept does not exist in either current US political party, in a manner that affects (effects?) meat-space reality. The reality is that both rep and dem parties are conservative in their own ways, the former is outward and forceful with it and the latter is hidden and corporate with it.
they both are regressive to the working class.
they both (in different ways) enable a fascist state to take hold, albeit at different rates of implementation.
edit: to add re my “right wing” remark - both parties in the US are right wing. Neither is “the left” even if dems seem to be “to the left” - they are both right of center.

this is actually why healthcare should not be something under capitalism. it should be a community project paid for by the state. “free markets” never existed and capitalism is deadly to begin with; it should not be allowed near health, housing, education, hunger.
we need owners of said companies to be charge criminally and get jail. including grandma with her 401k (in the form of a fine and record).
do this once and EVERYONE with a 401k will pay attention on day two and start calling stock managers to divest instantly. I do not fund criminal organizations- why should my 401k?
