  • Even if its one person, you would have to start somewhere. Maybe they have your data from the last 24 years, as per your example. If you cut off now, five years later, they still have only 24 years of your data. They won't have the last five year's data, which would be crucial for them.

  • That'll be difficult, because a number of lemmy users have been redditors before. On the other hand, number of lemmy users that could have migrated to reddit is nil, which is probably why redditors are not talking about lemmy or the fediverse as much.

    Well, they can, but it's not very efficient. They produce 4 atp at the cost of 2 atp. The mitochondrion generates 34 atp from pyruvic acid at the cost of 2 atp.

  • I impulse buy a lot. That is not in any way making me poorer, though. For reference, I impulsively buy pens and yarn.

  • I agree on trying the live boot first. I played around with the live boot for a week, and ended up installing mint as dual boot when I got frustrated about not being able to save files, save settings etc. I was barely using Windows at that point.
