  • I don't do that even for printed magazines/newspapers.

    1. It is neither prime, nor even. It just decided to pop out from somewhere and confuse everyone studying numbers. Very unpredictable.
  • What I’m illustrating is that America, despite being “the land of the free,” is very much not free.

    It isn't and never was.

So it doesn’t help that you’re assuming I don’t pay attention outside my borders.

No, I didn't say that. I felt as if you were saying the problems of bribery, corruption, unfair elections, systemic violence by government on its citizens are unique problems of the US government. It isn't, we have also seen them, and I do sympathise with American people facing these things.

we are all just as helpless as each other.

People have power. Even the most oppressed people have fought for themselves, and in many cases, have won.

are the leaders precisely because they have the most money that can be used for campaign ads

    insider trading of our politicians.

    threatening voters with violence.

    people dying at protests.

Every single point here is also true about my own country, which is nowhere near the US.

America has a different political system than ANY other country in the world.

You've yet to see the rest of the world.

  • A bit late, but still - Cheers!

  • It's shocking how much this 'personalized' stuff is normalized.

  • No, he would probably be out of the country.

  • Even if its one person, you would have to start somewhere. Maybe they have your data from the last 24 years, as per your example. If you cut off now, five years later, they still have only 24 years of your data. They won't have the last five year's data, which would be crucial for them.

  • That'll be difficult, because a number of lemmy users have been redditors before. On the other hand, number of lemmy users that could have migrated to reddit is nil, which is probably why redditors are not talking about lemmy or the fediverse as much.
