Born to Squint, Forced to See ⚜️

  • Because there are US military bases in the 3rd countries being attacked

  • Justice is a subjective rather than objective concept, unlike vengeance. Although it can safely be said that vengeance, for many people, is a core component of their sense of justice

For others, justice is something rooted in whatever is the most good. Even for those beyond the group or person harmed by something. Like restorative justice vs prison-based punishment. Regardless of which of those two things someone prefers, most of that choice boils down to individual conceptions of justice that are often immutable opinions

  • If you want to make any difference on that issue at all, the first step would be to clarify who youre talking about

Most people hate “the rich” as in rich people, as in people that can afford a limo and a five star hotel and some lavish lifestyle. They say tax the rich as in people significantly wealthier than them. But even that 5% or 1% or even 0.1% really are not the ones with the money. They just side with the people who have the serious money because they feel targeted by the general rhetoric of “tax the rich”

The reality is that the dysfunction in society and poverty stems from not taxing the 0.0000001%, the like 10-20 people in the entire world who control a majority of the money that exists. Musk, Bezos, people of that level of wealth. For most of the people in the world, anyone making over $50k a year is just as vast of a difference as the one that exists between someone making $50k and someone worth $5M. Which realistically is far less vast than the difference between someone worth $5M versus $500B. Making anything over $50k a year puts someone in the top 10% of wealth holders in the entire world. In America that is hardly a living wage, but globally speaking it is certainly being among the rich.

For any progress to occur its absolutely necessary that moderately wealthy people (who still have a lot of power in society and monetarily) to side with the bottom 99% to tax the 0.0000001% of people whos money never moves. The people who couldnt spend it all if they tried, in a world where money is useless to the majority if it doesnt change hands.

Thank you for coming to my ted talk

  • cheaper cuts of steak that are very affordable

IRL at the grocery store three days ago: cube steak was $7. Super thin cut steak for milenesa was $14. An actual steak of any kind? $20+. Let alone a nice one which is legit $30

There are literally no cheap beef products of any kind anymore. Beef used to make good cuts of chicken look expensive, now its the opposite. I can buy a pound of chicken breast for $6-$7, which is a hell of a lot more meat (and better) than a cube steak

  • I know plenty of interesting straight men capable of thinking for themselves, and none of them ever joined a fraternity

  • Gay/bi dudes are interesting enough unique people to not have to pay for friends by joining a dumbass fraternity

Honestly I assume anyone that joins a fraternity is some type of quasi-sentient NPC incapable of thinking for themselves

  • I actually have had one of those in my mouth before unfortunately. I didnt know thats what it was.

I was barbecuing at a cabin in Shenandoah and it flew into my Mikes Hard Lemonade without me noticing. When I took a swig I had what felt like a large piece of wet carpet in my mouth, and then that fuckin thing was the result. Thankfully, he was extremely intoxicated from his swim and could hardly move let alone sting my mouth out of self defense or anything. I ended up mercy killing it on the assumption that being submerged in alcohol for a while had messed him up pretty badly

  • They do know why, its that cows have some directional sense based in electromagnetism like an actual compass. Cows that are near high voltage power lines dont align the same way as cows normally do. Their sense gets messed up by the strength of the electrical fields that surround high voltage lines

They probably can see them, just like birds

  • Were gonna need a bigger magnet

  • That makes way more sense

  • I get what youre saying but, just like with license plates, your drivers license is technically state property. They just allow you to temporarily possess it. Point being that they can and will toss someone in jail for refusing to hand it over, which is surely worse than just handing it over. Fucked as the reasons may be that they want it back

  • Ive never heard it called a cicada wasp. Where Im from we just call them cicadas. Theyre more like a big ass grasshopper than a wasp

  • East coast food is absolutely abysmal outside of a handful of the largest cities.

When I lived in rural Massachusetts it was widely claimed that a local pizza spot had the “best pizza in the state”. It was literally the most mediocre pizza you can imagine. Most freezer pizzas are better. For a fresh made pie, it was trash. “Best pizza in the state”. People out there have no tastebuds, Im convinced

  • “Nothing in life is more important than the ability to defecate effectively” - Gerald R. Ford

  • The even steeper irony is that the women’s team literally unequivocally clobbered their way through the tournament, playing hockey at a higher level (as a team) than any women have ever played before. Meanwhile the men’s team barely made it past the semi and was a nut hair shy of losing to Canada (who also nearly didnt make it to the gold medal game).

There was only one historic quality hockey team in this Olympics, and it was definitely not the US Men
