That makes sense to me and is what I was thinking when I had this thought at the grocery store earlier. Then I wasn't sure since so many things have caffeine in them these days -- would the byproduct caffeine be enough? Another person said it's synthesized on an industrial scale, and that also makes sense, at least enough to satisfy my curiosity.

Where does the caffeine in artificially caffeinated products come from?
Satiate my curiosity, please. I know caffeine is naturally occurring in many plants (coffee and tea being the most notable). But for things like energy drinks, soda, drink flavorings, and whatnot that we add caffeine to, where does it come from?
Do we synthesize it all , is it recovered from the decaffeination process we use for decaf coffee/tea? Something else?
I had the Empire State Building one, and I don't think we ever got that thing built. So many near identical pieces just made it a chore. I still liked the concept though.

Mostly just trying to not waste the water when running it to preheat it for the dishwasher since it takes a while because it's on the far end of the house from the hot water tank. Guess I could just dump it in the rain barrel which should dilute it.
Our dorms were all block walls, so didn't really matter where the speakers were pointed. If your door was open everyone could hear everything. Was always fun logging into AIM and then hearing 10 doors simultaneously creaking open down the hall π
You forgot to mention the sound system hooked up instead of PC speakers and everyone's AIM sounds blasting down the hallway. Good times.

Is hot/warm water better for plants?
When I have to run the hot water before starting the dishwasher I usually catch it in a pitcher and use it to water the plants and that got me wondering.
Not because of the temperature but because the hot water has more dissolved minerals in it (yes I am aware this means my tank probably needs flushed; it's on the better half's honey-do list).
I guess now I am curious if water closer to room temperature is better for them too since it would be less of a shock.

New Icon and Banner are Live
I set them last night, and I'm not sure how long it takes for those to show up on other instances. I am curious though, so if you wouldn't mind dropping a comment if/when you notice the new icon/banner show up on your instances.

New Community Icon / Banner "Contest"
Looking to update the community icon and banner and want to see what you all come up with. As far as graphic arts go, I'm the worst so I want to crowdsource it out for best results. When the community was first set up I just kind of threw the current ones on there.
Best I can tell, the optimal sizes are 256x256 for the icon and 1320x240 for the banner. I've tried and failed to find a consistent answer on banner-sizing, but every answer has been different. Different apps also seem to display them differently, so I just picked a few that displayed well on different apps and averaged their sizes. π€·π»ββοΈ If you have a better suggestion, I'm all ears.
Animated icons/banners are fine, but they should be in the animated webp format. webm doesn't work well everywhere and GIFs are too large and also inconsistently supported. While webp doesn't animate in all apps, it still looks good as a static image unlike GIFs.
