"The belief that America stands for an idea beyond blood and soil makes its identity fragile, because an idea lives in people’s minds, where it is subject to lies, hatred, ignorance, despair, even extinction. But for this very reason, as long as enough Americans continue to believe in the idea with enough conviction to stick it out here and fight, the country that you and I once lived in will still exist for the generation after us."
The belief that a country should exist purely for nostalgic purposes is the kind of bullshit that got us here in the first place. Countries started existing so that a monach could control resources and worker productivity. Now they are used as a default identity for people to try and connect on some level. If you don't treat the identity as fragile, sure it can never 'die', but it can't improve or change either.
It's surprising how few supporters you get when they aren't allowed to criticise you in any way

The MAGA movement have no care about what the administration does, especially when it comes to non-americans in a country literally none of them coudl identify on a map. But if you show them "look how poorly this bombing was planned and carried out" then maybe they will listen.

I looked it up and this is real
I think the more concerning thing is this question appears to be asked in a way that's insulting to the pilot. What was the guy concerned about? Flight time? Fuel use? He could have made a polite question asking pilots on Twitter about what influences flight paths.
The pilot flying the plane obviously chose this path on purpose and this guy takes the very American position that admission of ignorance is a weakness.

I meet my 10-year-old self in 1987. I tell him I live in the future of 2024.
"2024! Wow! Do you have flying cars?"
"No."
"Oh. Well do you have Mars colonies?"
"No."
"Huh. Well you've gotta have a cure for every disease!"
"No."
"What do you have?!"
"We have a toothbrush that bad people can control remotely."
"...do I have to grow up?"
"Yes."
Sharing your screen in Teams is a sign of imcompetence
I can't believe how many virtual meetings in the last three years that people are still sharing their screens.
People seem to share their screens in 3 situations:
We all have a limited time on this earth. We're not going to remember or care about the meetings in a year or two. Go find something meaningful to do with your life. Stop sharing your scre

"Xbox Live and the ability to download new content is not a crutch to ship crappy software. And too often on the PC--I'm going to be blunt here--in the PC gaming space, games get out that developers know have problems because they know they can patch them later. They know they can force updates. And the act of playing [games online] becomes a pain in the ass, because you put the disc in and then you gotta download the patch and you gotta download the service pack and you gotta download the security hot fix, and then you gotta apply those things and reboot your machine. That's not an entertainment experience. That is not fun." -- Jeff Henshaw, Group Program Manager - Xbox, 2010-10-06
