I played Undergrove for the first time today and it was really fun. It's developed by the same person who designed Wingspan. I really like the natural world themes she uses in the games.

For the first time, I played an entire game of Wingspan and never took the lay eggs action. Pileated Woodpecker was the MVP of the game.

I just tried a cold brew of Adagio's Masala Chai iced tea. The clove is a bit stronger than I would have liked but overall it's good.

I just tried a honeybush tea with butterscotch and cloves. I've never had honeybush before but it was really good.
My latest mystery box from Adagio came with iced tea packets for cold brewing tea. I didn't even know tea could be cold brewed so out of curiosity I decided to cold brew some of my lemon meringue

Kittens - A good addition that add incentive to be first
Beasts - I found this to be kinda meh. I didn't like that you can only get beasts on the first day which makes it really easy to just skip the whole module.
Events - I really enjoyed this module. The events really add additional layers of strategy and time sensitive ways to score points.
I just got the Kittens + Beasts Expansion for Isle of Cats and played the Kitten module. The small size of the kittens and being able to rescue two for one basket makes it easier to fill out those

@YurkshireLad I hadn't noticed that. I just checked the other book bundles and didn't see any restrictions so I'm guessing it has something to do with this bundle coming through Kobo which would be odd since Kobo is a Canadian company.

@BloodSlut Besides the usual stuff, it adds Duet Mode (for 2 players) and Flock Mode (for 6-7 players). The Duet Mode adds a duet board that you add pieces to every time you play a bird. The goals from the expansion are all related to the duet board. The placement rules for the duet board really forces you to pay attention to the birds you play.

@BumpingFuglies You don't have any problems when using it docked? I had read a few posts claiming that running it docked caused it to struggle.
@SpatULater the simple game mechanic makes it really easy to explain to new players. It's the only game the kids were able to easily pick up with a single explanation of the rules.
@dpunked The kids were 10-13. The game mechanics are really simple to learn too. The box says 8+ and that's probably accurate.
Relatives were visiting over the weekend and we played Tsuro with the kids. It's really easy to learn, quick to play, and has some strategy to it.

Something I've noticed while playing (https://mastodon.world/tags/totk) is that the further I progress, the less I want to fight enemies. It's no big deal killing everything I see when my weapo
@echo64 I think the system wouldn't be too bad if there was an easier way to get the base weapons. One of the things I really dislike is hunting for specific weapons. I've only found one of those deku spears in my entire playthrough. Also, having to break my weapons killing enemies so I can get their weapons seems counter productive.

It's no big deal killing everything I see when my weapon is stick with a rock attached but now that I'm running around with pristine weapons with lynel horns I don't want to use them on random enemies.
