You'd figure manga artists would be able to come up with some really awful things to turn the girls into, but I guess these guys weren't that good...

I loved seeing all the meta jokes and convention breaking. No tragic backstory for the mangaka. Are magical berets a late-stage-capitalism post-apo subscription model?
