The rhetoric and goal of Hexbar are clear based on their announcement: to “dismantle western propaganda” and "demolish organizations such as NATO” shows that Hexbar has no intention of "respecting the rules of the community instance in which they are posting/commenting.” It’s to push their beliefs and ideology.

Edit: sitcom idea: bumbling FBI agent who has to monitor a dirt bag leftist site. Secretly thinks they're so funny that they don't want to undermine the site and has to navigate their relationship with their handlers and coworkers. Progressively turns into a lefty and embraces that they're LGBT. Sometimes runs into conflict between credible threats of violence and their love for their comrades/sympathy for the motive.
Ew, I sort of wish it wasn't copaganda. Maybe along with liking lefty content, the conflict with coworkers/hiding their findings is that they also begin to question their motivations to be an FBI agent as they find their coworkers harmful and their occupation to be oppressive.

Yep if you spin it that way it might actually be a good show. A little dark comedy with high stakes drama. Honestly I bet they do loyalty tests all the time to prevent that from happening.
I think there's a place for media portrayal of a person who becomes a law enforcement member to genuinely help people but absolutely can't within the current systems.
