Why does Urbane Cyclist (Toronto bike shop) do this?
Even though I don't live in the city, I enjoy supporting Toronto bike shops because they carry brands that my local shops don't.
I've purchased several items from Urbane, and just saw that they are having a sale for their 28th anniversary. Cool!
One of the items I was looking at was the Apidura packable musette bag.
Urbane lists it at $81, but on sale for $60. This didn't seem right, because I've seen it for around that price at other shops, so I looked again:
Look, I can appreciate that "sales" can drive sales, but I know they've done this with other items, and have done it in the past during other sale events.
Is there any reasonable explanation why they would want to damage trust like this? I want to support them, but I don't want to be ripped off in the process.
EDIT: f
Bike lanes have been a controversial issue in Ontario this past year with not only a record breaking six cyclists killed in Toronto, but also the Ford governmentâs Bill 212 which limits new bike lane installations and risks ripping out existing ones. However, with a provincial election called for Th...

Just a reminder that traffic is caused by people driving cars.
The screenshot was taken from a live stream at 1:30pm on a Wednesday, not during long-weekend rush hour.
The Gardiner, just like the 401 and the DVP, are a traffic nightmare nearly all the time, yet they don't have bike lanes on them.
This isn't some strange coincidence or conspiracy.
Car dependency, rather than people riding bikes, taking public transit, or walking, is the real problem causing traffic and gridlock.

Green space access is a key indicator for mental, physical, and emotional health, and much of Toronto's is found in the city's extensive multiuse trail and ravine system. Got a call from the PC party asking if they have my support
Just a little PSA in case you guys get the same.
I'd usually hang up when I get political calls or surveys, but I made it very clear that Doug Ford will not get my support specifically because of Bill 212.
And if the NDP or Liberals call, I will thank them for opposing Bill 212.
CBC: Ontario passes bill that allows major Toronto bike lanes to be ripped out
There it is, folks, the Ford Government wants us dead.
I was never a hostile cyclist, but I guess I'll need to become one in order to fight against this war for personal safety.
Here's to hoping that DoFo and his cult get stuck in traffic for an eternity.
