The more time passes, the more I started to see the flaws in Lemmy design and development which will prevent it from being something meaningful.
Which lead me to ask, is there is any worthy alternative to Reddit?
I tried HackerNews , but it does not seem very fit.
Tildes seem to have way more problems than Reddit, development and moderation.
Saidit seems to be almost dead and have zero active Android clients.
Discuit used to have a potential, but they are stuck in toxic positivity phase and the admins does not seem to understand how to moderate and it seems that they will have the same fate as Ruqqis.
Something big is happening, as Reddit seems to have purged literally every NSFW sub they know. Reason is always "unmoderated" despite some of the banned subreddits being fully moderated.
Edit: seems to have been a bug in automation (thanks @[email protected]):
I’ve been permabanned from Reddit for harassment. I was fucking with some guys that liked anime in a non anime subreddit, I simply called them Chinese cartoons and they got mad, bigly. Anyways I trolled too much using that account so apparently they figured it was better to cut me off the website entirely. I would like to use Reddit still, but every account gets banned as soon as I make it. It tells me I can appeal but I can’t actually because that was more than a year ago.
If I delete that account and all associated accounts, and make new account not associated with them (new email), will it get banned too? I know reddit bans are not just IP bans but also use device ID and all that shit. Will I have to buy a new computer exclusively for Reddit? Or does my device becomes unflagged the moment I delete the banned account?
I need help with this shit. I like lemmy but there’s just not enough people here.
Reddit is taking down posts linking to the manifesto of the suspected shooter of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson in a move that has angered many users.
The best way to influence the Domain Authority metric is to improve your site’s overall SEO health, with a particular focus on the quality and quantity of external links pointing to your site.

Obviously borrowed from Cyanide and Happiness. But I can't help but picture a Reddit user's expression the moment someone tries having an actual discussion on that platform.
Revanced & being a mod doesn't seem to matter anymore.
I can still view the front page but no comments, profile, individual subreddits, etcetera now.
This is the same for me on both Sync and Boost.
Surely, I can't be the only one.
Combined with their recent shenanigans with old.reddit.com I'm finally feeling more ready to just let it go finally because there is no freaking way I'm going to use new or their crummy ad_riddled app.
Recently on Reddit there are memes after memes on election. Specifically, rather pro-Israel "No vote for Biden is vote for Trump!" If you open, you see a bunch of same-minded people complaining about anti-Bibi protestors.
It's so everywhere I can't see Reddit without seeing such posts.
I can like threadiverse better just for this. I don't have to see the same tiring meme everywhere thanks to having no political campaigning and no forced promotion of posts into my feed.
