  • I'm looking for virtualization-based desktop Linux setup

  • What? I'm looking for minimal setup but for desktop use (by this I mean machine which I'll be using as my workstation), not for a server. I don't think that Proxmox will be minimal option for this purpose when it have features which I don't need at all because the software on it is primarily designed for remotely controlled servers. For example I don't need WebUI function, instead I need simple desktop environment to manage my machines directly from a machine. Of course I can install desktop environment on it but why when it have completely different use case?

  • Ogień, wpada ucho i zajebisty klip! Rap od zawsze promuje te skurwiałe narkotyki jak alko, papierosy, weed czy twardszy syf. Ciężko gdzieś w gatunku znaleźć ucieczkę od tego. Szczerze nie wiem czy znam dobrych rapowych artystów co nie przyłożyli, by swojej cegiełki do promocji używek, ale z drugiej strony to pewnie tak im wychodzą dobre kawałki.

    Ja się mogę utożsamiać z tą nutą. Alkohol, papierosy, weed zrujnowały mi mocno zdrowie psychiczne oraz fizyczne a nawet osiemnastki nie mam. Najmocniej to chyba mi wjechało zielsko na banie i skutki jarania tego to odczuwam codziennie. Nie lubiłem nawet palić weedu, to była kwestia towarzystwa starszych kolegów i chęć poczucia się jak ci idole. Miałem dość mocne badtripy, ale nie tylko ja i wciąż widzę po tych ludziach z mojego towarzystwa, że choć regularnie palą to też tego doświadczają. I to nie jest kwestia tematu, że chemol itp. bo paliłem swój i równie chujowo było.

    Jeżeli chodzi o bliższych mi ludzi z tego typu problemami to używka, która porujnowała im życia to właśnie zielsko. Gdyby nie kultura, pewnie, by nie ruszali tego, bo choć jest to używka bezpieczniejsza niż wiele innych no to niestety właśnie ten czynnik kulturowy sprawia, że ludzie obchodzą się z tym jak obchodzą. Z jednej strony mamy boomerów mówiących o tym, jakby był to syf na miarę heroiny albo młodych, którzy pokazują to jako coś najlepszego na świecie i sposób na życie. Jednocześnie zero edukacji o narkotykach, bo to tabu.

    Po ostatniej mocnej pijackiej akcji jestem full sXe i cel jest taki, żeby w swojej dorosłości już nie tykać syfu :) Po doświadczeniach już mnie nawet nie ciągnie w tę stronę. Dobrze, że się przejechałem na tym będąc młodym gdzie jeszcze nie ma takiej odpowiedzialności, ale z drugiej strony szkoda mi tego, że mój umysł musiał oberwać na etapie gdzie się jeszcze rozwijał.

    Taki krótki komentarz do pioseneczki.

  • Today I deleted my Discord account, I was using it in Firefox or Webcord wrapper. I can't imagine installing this type of software on my computer. It's scanning your computer by default to check what programs are you using or what games are you playing and it's properiaty, commercial app.

    You never know how the data they collect about you will be used. It's a great tool for censorship, and Discord has good communication with the authorities. Despite this, they still have no problem with violence in the form of groups encouraging teenagers to self-harm, Nazis, and gore or pornographic content of a pedophilic or zoophilic nature. Unfortunately, as a minor, I came across a lot of this type of content there completely by accident. A large, centralized, unencrypted messenger allows for accurate tracking or complete destruction of a user's history. This is important for political oppression, falsification, and evidence gathering.

    Most people are too lazy to change anything in their lives, even their messenger, out of concern for their privacy and security. And there are alternatives, but they won't even be able to emerge because of this majority. It's not that all these messengers are free and we all pay dearly for them, but not with our own money. Money is not as valuable as power and the right to one's identity.

    If Matrix had as much money as Discord (where there are much better freedom-oriented alternatives to Discord), it would probably allow for the same simplicity as Discord. Unfortunately, ethical activity plays a secondary role for us. It's the same with clothing—it's easier to get clothes that are cheaply made in poor countries by exploiting children than clothes that are made locally with respect for workers' rights.

    I am not providing alternatives, because if someone does not understand this and is too lazy to look for them themselves, they should not clutter up spaces where valuable people gather.

  • There's Matrix, XMPP, Delta Chat and IRC. IRC is oldschool and popular, you have channels like on Discord but you can only send text. If you want we can message together or create some group chat. I also looking for people to chat outside Discord. My matrix is @ml0dy:noevil.pl, XMPP mlody@hakier.pl and IRC #zimno on Libera Chat.

  • I tried Ardour but it's UI is terrible and ugly for me. I miss that perfect piano roll from FL Studio... Of course Ardour have great reviews.
