  • Jerboa or just in the browser. Honestly though most people's issues are likely to be because they joined a huge instance which is falling over due to load. Consider making a new account on a smaller instance.

  • I'd imagine you're rather unique. I have a hard time imagining atheists believing in something as nebulous as a soul.

EDIT: Please don't downvote OP, if anything this is a more interesting discussion thread than just "No, we're just meat and electricity"

  • I kind of like the lower comment count. It sucks when there are literally no comments, but for me, I'm much more inclined to leave a comment when there aren't too many already. Plus I found most comments were really low effort jokes. For every well thought out comment, there were a million 'this' type comments.

  • Plus everything is just a bit broken and requires some figuring out. I'm definitely pretty tech savvy, but I'm having a hard time imagining non tech savvy people figuring out how to sign up and access these communities, at least not in the current state of things.

  • There were lots of children's books and cartoons in the USSR that basically took Western stories and put their own twist on them. There was a really popular series of books that was basically Wizard of Oz fanfiction

  • I'm one of the new users and I do have to say the fact that I had to jump through less hoops to sign up with .world was a big reason why I signed up there. When you're trying something new the less friction the better to acquire new users. I don't want to write an essay on why I want to get an account. I know we want to minimize bots, but there are other ways to do that than throwing unnecessary road blocks in front of users who are skeptical to join to begin with.

  • The funny thing is on Reddit I was mostly a lurker/content consumer. There was little incentive to actually post because your post or comment was likely to just be drowned out in the absolute torrent of other posts/comments. Here I'm actually able to be heard.

    What are your favorite plugins?

I've been absolutely loving treesitter. It's come a long way and it's been absolutely great for things like folds, motions, highlights of course. Now that I've finally gotten familiar with writing my own queries I can extend the existing plugins. As an example I've added folds to blocks of multiple consecutive comments in JS and Ruby.

What are some of your favorites?

Can't seem to mark something in my inbox in Jerboa as read

So I'm able to mark all my inbox items as read, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do that to an individual message. In the webview there's a checkmark I can click, but don't see anything like that in Jerboa.

EDIT: Solved, it turns out you need to long press the little section that contains the username rather than the whole text. Which makes it harder to interact with longer comments for some reason. I might see if there's already a big filed for it.

Joined yyc before finding this community

Why is there a !yyc community as well as a !Calgary one? I've posted a bunch on the yyc community, but most posts didn't have too much discussion. How active is this one and would it make sense to merge them somehow?

Response from WOTC support regarding ICR bug from mastery lvl 70+

From someone who posted on the other site

Thank you for contacting Wizards of the Coast Customer Service! The issue with the Mastery Pass not granting Uncommon ICRs on Levels 70 and higher has been reported to the Arena development team. Players who are missing Uncommon ICRs will be receiving a grant sometime in the near future. Thank you for your patience while this is being worked on.

Is there an Arena focused community?

I haven't been able to find an MTGA focused community. Anybody able to point me in the right direction?

    Finally some much needed rain

Didn't have to water the grass today. I picked a terrible week to try to cover up the bare patches on my lawn.
