I know that „there must be a German word for that“ is became a meme, with lot of fake words being thrown around, but I’m not even joking: There’s a German word for that lol ✨Mittelspurschleicher✨
That’s weird. Works for me both through the embedded browser in Voyager and Safari directly (with adblocker enabled)
Mama: Wir haben feuchte Michmichs zu Hause.
I didn’t mean to correct you, just wanted to add this random thing I thought of reading your comment lol
In German speaking countries cats only have 7 lives :(
The hatman does NOT respect gender pronouns past 450mg
Nah, I can’t think of any reason tbh. Just somehow unexpected I guess because I usually only hear it in the name of the german state Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
I mean, I know that many if not most places in the US are named after European ones, but somehow Mecklenburg caught me really off guard just now
That reminds me of a video by Angela Collier about that and similar phenomena https://youtu.be/wBBnfu8N_J0
I discovered her channel a few months ago and binged almost all of it. She’s great!
I miss that subreddit
Why not both? But is it a house-hat or hat-house?

I read an interesting article on that a while ago, unfortunately I can’t to find it anymore rn. If I remember correctly, it stated cats don’t think of humans as kittens (or generally as cats) but are able to recognize us as a different species. At the same time, they apparently still consider us part of their colony and in the wild cats care for their offspring together, so one part goes hunting while the others look after the kittens. Same happens when cats bring us „gifts“. (Might be misremembering stuff and can’t check how trustworthy the article was, so take it with a big grain of salt, I’d be happy to get educated by someone more knowledgeable)
That’s how umlauts historically evolved, but nowadays I wouldn‘t say ü short for ue, but its own letter (even though you still can write it as ue if you don’t have it available on your keyboard or whatever)
Honest question: why do you think it would be unconstitutional?
Actual assignment I handed in at University:

Thank you!
I never heard that word I think (not a native speaker) and DDG only brings up some band, which I don’t think you mean here. What are the rubes?
