  • And they have really good products - the Navigator is great, and Yandex Music was better than Spotify (until the war started and a lot of labels/artists disappeared).
I'm not using their products now as I don't want to feed the government, but they do(did?) some great stuff.

  • In Russia it was called Slon (the elephant) - team one jumps on team two, then team two tries to walk. And there's a "stationary" version by the wall or a tree.
I have only heard of it being played in Soviet times (pic 1), but apparently this is still happening in summer camps and such (pic 2)

  • Is the "revisionism" thing directed to me? Then you can't read irony, my comment is clearly showing that I don’t agree with the logic of authors of the poster. Don't throw the gulag word on me, is it the only thing you know about ussr?
I answered to your comment because you wrongly called it a nazi poster, which it isn't.

  • It was a soviet poster - there has been a lot of them, each showing people from different republics doing stuff together. Like people from occupied Baltic countries cared of people from Kazakhstan and everyone wanted to be together

  • Oh, yeah, more than once. At the in-laws home:
    Wife: we’re leaving
    Me: ?
Wife: Tell you in the car
Me, putting the shoes on: K
It is so liberating to be able to get out of some random bullshit!

  • Of course there are fucking details attached! Ukraine is quite attached to its territory and survival, Greenland is attached to Denmark, healthcare and social security, Canada and Mexico are attached to the idea of not having an asshole neighbour. It's like every situation has reasons under it, what a surprise!

  • It matters, because it's not about messages, it's about the interface and all the logic which was built over a long period of time. Having an OS-native gui is better because it's faster, it's "already there" and not just loads, and it's all done in the desktop app already.
As a good comparison - what would you choose for any service on your smartphone - an app or a really nice mobile website?
