Reminds me of something similar that happened at the Rangers stadium back in 2011 or 2012. A fan tipped over the railing in left field, landed painfully, and died within an hour or two. :-(
Skenes is an excellent pitcher. He has a long way to go, to catch up to guys like Kershaw of course. I hope Pirates fans enjoy him while it lasts, because their ownership won’t want to spend what it will take to keep him in free agency.

He spends much of the day sleeping upstairs. When I come in the front door, I frequently hear a thud as he leaps down from wherever he was napping, then the sound of him sprinting while meowing, then I see him slide a bit when he gets to the bottom of the stairs & the uncarpeted floor, then he sprints over to me demanding all the pets and scratches and love I can possibly give. Naturally, I’m happy to oblige him

I would love it if more teams were willing to spend in free agency like the dodgers do. I like seeing players get paid and I figure the game gets stronger & more resilient if more teams care as much about winning as the dodgers.
Nats have a worse record, better city connect uniforms, and I’ve been to DC more recently than Los Angeles, so yay Nats! (at least for today)

If I could pick one team to go 0-162, I’d pick the Yankees.
If I could pick a second team to go 0-162, I’d pick the Dodgers.
And if they played each other in the regular season I’d cheer for a meteor strike.
First thought: this seems like a solution in search of a problem.
Second thought: the McKinney airport isn’t actually all that close to DFW or Love, and isn’t the biggest part of growth in the DFW area happening in Collin County & north along US-75? Maybe this isn’t such a dumb idea after all.
