  • Somedays I really have to question whether such people really exist. I mean really? What do they think America is?

Edit: I mean, I get it from the people in power, they want to cozy up to that power and so they will parrot its rhetoric. So companies, lobbyists, etc., sure.

But like, regular people? With day jobs? Who function in regular society going to stores and cooking food and cleaning homes and all that? What is their actual vision of America here?

  • unlike music, which people can simply not engage in describing on a regular basis, gender expression is something that requires much more active participation by all members of a society

    Does it though?

I really don't care how people express as long as they aren't dicks and fascists about it.

I might be caught off guard sometimes, like the legitimately cute trans with the very male surfer dude voice at the train station the other day, but that's not the same as giving a damn about it.

  • Merriam dgaf. Their job is to figure out what words people are using, and document them. People could invent the word "bumblesausagecock" and if it caught on, they would add it.

  • growing up in my grandmothers house, she never ever ever used the front door except if there was some kind of event like a funeral. It was like, the fancy door.

they also almost never used the living room except when people were visiting.

  • Your life is the way it is because you've decided that it's more comfortable to leave it that way than to change it.

Srsly years and years of therapy this was the only thing that did anything for me

  • When I was a Disney employee (fuck you, Bob Iger) I had a pass that I could enter a Disney park any time I wanted.

Now, I don't really see what's so good about that unless you live in short distance to such a park, but it was still cool, and made for a cheap garden leave vaycay
