  • The bird is for a normal x-ray. Here's the context.

CT scans take much longer, but an x-ray is just a few seconds. I think it's just a practical way to get the bird in place for a quick x-ray, and by practical I mean the vet techs minimize their (very real) risk of being murdered.

  • Commercial real estate loans are interest only? I had never heard of that before, but it makes sense with the buried lede:

borrowers prefer handing the property keys over to creditors over putting good money after bad

Which is what happens whenever a company has an asset they don't own and no longer want. Shrug and handover the keys. Seems to me like the lenders are going to be the ones taking the haircut, despite what the article asserts.

“Futurama” has been renewed for two more new seasons at Hulu, Variety has learned.

The revival of the beloved adult animated series has been picked up for an additional 20 episodes at the streaming service. Hulu had picked the show up for 20 episodes back in February 2022, the first 10 of which were released starting in July. The premiere date for the second batch of 10 from that order has yet to be announced, though it is expected to debut in 2024. The new order will bring the show to Seasons 13 and 14 (or 10 and 11 depending on how you break it down).

Hulu’s revival of the series marks the second time the show has been brought back since it originally launched in 1999. After its initial four-season run on Fox, reruns of the show found new life as part of the Adult Swim lineup on Cartoon Network and on DVD. Four direct-to-video films were then produced, which were later re-edited into a fifth season that aired on Comedy Central starting in 2008. Comedy Central would go on to air tw

  • Looks like he saw the writing on the wall. Even the slightest perception of disloyalty to Trump is enough to sink any candidate, but simultaneously Trump has zero king making ability. Don't see any path forward for any GOP candidate.

  • Have they posted anything about their experiences developing this? I'm curious on their thoughts of Godot vs Unity. This might be the most established studio to ship something in Godot.

  • Include every detail

  • I do this with emails. ADHD not austism. I'll throw this out as a suggestion:

Amazon, for its many faults, has a distinct and effective approach to writing. Put a short summary/objective paragraph at the top, detail needs/design/whatever, alternatives, whatever supporting information in an appendix, and give everything headers so you can easily find what you want. The idea is to make it pyramid shaped: the important information right at the beginning and more detail the further you go down. Someone reading it can just stop reading when they need to.

I've seen documents that are like 10 pages of 'real' content and a couple hundred appendix pages. I wouldn't go to this extreme in personal communication, but might help realize what needs to be kept or not.

Also bullet points are fine. It baffles me they aren't considered 'real' writing.
