  • it is almost 20 years since that came out

this comment hurt me deeply. I watched the first one in cinemas and could swear its closer to 10 years

  • we'll be miserable playing deadlock soon enough

  • It's a problem only for the AAA industry, The market is correcting. It's becoming clearer risky 200+ million dollar investments on one game that takes 8 years to make and flops on release isn't working. This year especially showed the AA/indie scene thriving, so maybe this will just encourage smaller scale projects and investments in smaller companies

  • me trying to open a door in any soulslike videogame

  • The post replies also provide more context as someone that doesnt understand the legal lingo of the official article

  • Huh.

So who's betting that EA dissolves over the next few years and they start passing their IPs around to other companies? Not sure how I feel about this because on one hand it could end with EA in the gutter and their dead franchises in the hands of companies that still know how to make games

  • Government responded:

we talked about this 9 months ago clearly we dont need to talk about it ever again

  • It's not a core pillar of the genre but it is a core pillar of dark fantasies, and many games in the genre are dark fantasies because it fits with the tough throwing yourself at danger thing despite the odds gameplay.

Not every soulslike is a dark fantasy though, look at another crabs treasure

  • so frustrating to see everybody mass downvote posts like this because they dont like its contents. Stop shooting the messenger. The post is relevant to the community

  • GamersNexus is adding Linux to their GPU/CPU benchmarks. The video talks about their considerations for it, which distros they'll use (bazzite/arch) and how theyre going about it

  • Good. Reggie was a charismatic leader that pushed against Nintendo Japan to be more consumer friendly. This man did nothing and had zero presence. I wonder what he was even doing there.

  • Compatibility improved a lot since release, you can actually run most apps and games on an X elite now

  • I'm 99% sure it falls under fair use. There are a shit ton of social media videos that use songs and show clips from the anime. Virtually every YT channel uses Nintendo music from their games as background music, too. Searching "Pokemon theme song" on youtube shows dozens of results so they're obviously not taking those down either.

It's not comparable to them taking down fan-works.

  • Death stranding vibes, even from the story outline

  • That was part of it, but they hyped up the product so much as a Macbook M series competitor and made outrageous claims, including having very optimistic benchmarks. They shot themselves in the foot because any benchmarks compared to the macbook were against them, especially in efficiency. They promised Linux support shortly after launch too but it's still not fully here.

  • Third times the charm. Qualcomm messed up the last time they tried to make an ARM chip for computers, but this time Im more optimistic. The specs look amazing on paper

  • It looks more like an upscale than a full remaster, but it can definitely look better yea
