That's a federal crime. If it's for your personal or household use and under $200 you're fine(unless you're coming from China).
Doesn't seem like a good time to fuck with border control.
😅 plz no.
Asbestos in brake pads was banned as a factory item for car manufacturers. No cars are allowed to come new with asbestos in the pads, it was a solved problem for a decade. It was allowed for replacement pads only(until last year when it was banned entirely).
You just get up after pooping, and then pull the TP through your butt cheeks. It's massively inferior, the poop gets spread around when you stand up. I used like 10x more TP as a standing wiper. I will say it's gentler on the asshole though.
Just gonna steal this from someone else, but
Longer than that, I bet. This report from EPIAction doesn't specifically mention spending increases and decreases, but all other economic indicators have been better under Democrats than they have under Republicans for at least 75 years.
Since 1949, there has been a Democratic advantage in the average performance of key macroeconomic indicators measuring economic health, including:
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth
Job growth
Unemployment rate
Growth in inflation-adjusted wages
Growth of market-based incomes per capita
Inflation
Interest rates
The US economy has performed better when the president of the United States is a Democrat rather than a Republican, almost regardless of how one measures performance…The superiority of economic performance under Democrats rather than Republicans is nearly ubiquitous: it holds almost regardless of how you define success. By many measures, the performance gap is startlingly large.
I can fit 90% of what a truck can in my hatchback. I can fit 150% of what a truck can in my work van. As an added bonus my shit won't get wrecked by a passing rain shower.
UK didn't ban asbestos till 2000, 25 years after we knew it was mega cancer.
1993 for Germany
1997 for France
1992 for Italy
2002 for Spain
China still hasn't banned asbestos.
Valuing profit over human life is not unique to the US or even capitalism(if you're foolish enough to consider China a communist state).
Government dictating that citizens MUST give money to a private company who then gives money to the politicians who make that mandate is wildly immoral. Insurance should be a government program.
Leaded gas still isn't banned. Small airplanes still use it, and homes around airfields (including mine, which my family lived in before the airfield) are contaminated with lead. My daughter failed her 12 month lead test because of it despite us excluding her from outdoor activities in our neighborhood.
Yes, and for some reason those recessions and emergencies happen when morons are in charge. Who would've guessed?
Average lemmy.ml user be like:
I mean, yeah? Is that really so bad. I guess it depends what the intent was. The town I grew up in was pretty tame, and the room I'd get locked in without food or water if I'd misbehaved had books
I'm not sure how we got on the topic, but it came up in a drunken conversation with a friend. I'm fully converted to a sit down wiper now.
They were both trash vehicles that had no place on the street. They were a danger to their own drivers as well as everyone else unfortunate enough to share the road with them. They had among the worst stopping distance and acceleration in memory. The H1 did 0-60. Eventually. It was something like 20 seconds as I recall. And it took nearly a football field to stop from that speed.
We were using it in aftermarket brake pads too...
straight-through muffler
I hope you throw a rod through the oil pan.
Open/Libreoffice can do that too
Which countries are you talking about? Pretty much every country with a notable economy has gold reserves of some size.
Probably, but what else can they do? Someone that goes along with the corruption is worse than someone in on the corruption. At least the latter cost money.
