But have you said thank you?
Do not over grease!
I can't stop pronouncing USAID as u said even after i finally heard it instead of just reading it
Farming simulator is life probably until actual farming season comes again...
I don't think Trump actually comes up with anything himself, that gives him too much credit. He has actual intelligent though evil people telling him what to do, mostly foreign debt holders he's trying to repay politically instead of financially if I had to guess
But doesn't that make it more apparent that bytedance is in on the ruse? Shut the app down while Biden is still president even though his administration says they do not plan to enforce the ban and then bring it back the second Trump is president? (They already brought it back with a notice that thanks President Trump)
What if breaking a mirror is what caused the bad luck that lead to the condom breaking?
Meet your 2028 president elect... BITCH CUNT NOEM!!!! With an endorsement from President Camacho or the weird little dude in mad Max that runs the crane, idk but i think either way we're fucked
And c-suite pay should be capped at a multiple of a company's median employee pay, I'm not going to pretend to know what the multiple should be but there should be a tie in somewhere. Varying industries make it hard to set an overall standard, but even seeing it to whatever today's highest ratio in the s&p 500 would be a start.
I want to post a photo but can't figure out how....
I overlooked reducing workforce as a possibility. I'm not in the corporate world at all so I have no actual insight on anything. I've just been confused by something I'd consider a win-win being done away with by a lot of companies.
Can anyone explain to me why companies are pushing RTO? Simply to justify some management positions? Or justify the big buildings they built? To me work from home would have so many advantages for a company and could actually be problematic for some employees. Not only can they save some costs on office space but it opens up their talent pool in a way that could lower wages. They could find someone living in low cost of living middle of nowhere that would do a job for 60k that someone in an expensive city couldn't justify doing for less than 120k.
I knew that in the sense of sunrise and sunset times, but thought maybe in terms of the sun being overhead at noon for example would travel north to South?
In the first photos to come out, i thought his eyebrows were fake and thought, fuck this guy went the extra mile, but i guess they were real and he did just enough to do what he planned and not a lot extra
I suppose it makes some difference how far East to West you are in your timezone too, but this time of year I'm dark on my way to work and dark on my way home, if we were still in DST I'd have an hour of sunlight still after work. It's only about 6 weeks that are that extreme for me but I'd still prefer DST. And I love the long summer nights when it's light until almost 10 lol
I want it to stay sprung forward, can't remember if that's DST or non. I feel like I'm in the minority, but fuck if I care if it's dark in the morning I want sunlight for longer once I'm done working...
Pull out the button set a channel and push it in, it's possible that they need to be lowest to highest frequency, but that could just be the only way we ever did it lol
If you have been bitten by an animal badly enough to have to go to the emergency room, what bit you?
It is rare, but not something to completely ignore as a possibility
If you have been bitten by an animal badly enough to have to go to the emergency room, what bit you?
I'm not sure how it works in every state, but in mine rabies testing is covered by the state but kind of requires a doctor visit, (and the animal to be tested) to get the ball rolling. I think you could also go straight to the sheriff. All of that to say i went to the ER for a minor bat bite, and to make my PSA statement that if there is even a sliver of possibility that rabies is possible, don't ever assume that a minor animal bite is no big deal.
I agree, i was trying to also bring to light that he can have that much influence with an amount of money that could almost be a rounding error to him.

I have a bunch of "what is this?" questions from my garden this year.
My wife and I started a new garden this year, and it ended up bigger than we needed so we dispersed some old seeds we had in the extra area. Ended up being fun and are harvesting some extra produce, but there's a few plants I don't recognize. I'm unsure if some of them are even seeds we planted or being new ground that was once my aunt's yard we uncovered some extra plants.
I'm new to linking albums so someone let me know if something doesn't work.

is there a way to block the automated archive posts?
I'm guessing there isn't at the moment, but I can't stand how overloaded the feed gets with the copy and pasted posts from reddit.
I get that a lot of communities here are small and are trying to add content to up engagement, but, for example, I'll see 5 plus posts from r/aitah in a row with no comments and I don't see why many people would even consider replying when the OOP isn't even here to see it.
I'm actually considering blocking some of the communities that have a lot of this, but don't want them gone once their original Lemmy posts get more frequent.
