  • Also using Mlem, here. I like it because it's a native app and has lots of customization features. I used to use Voyager, but it never quite felt native for me (though it's been a long while since I last used it).

  • Listen, I don't know a ton about USAID, so I won't defend it-though I've personally not seen any reporting that supports what you're saying. Keep in mind, this isn't Trump's first rodeo. USAID was operating under him during his previous term.

What I'd really like for you to explain is how NOAA is presumably burning tons of cash in a way that doesn't benefit taxpayers.

If they were really interested in trimming the fat, they'd go after the DoD, which is where they'd likely "recover" the largest amount. But I'd guess they don't touch that budget at all. And in the unlikely event they did, you can bet anything to do with SpaceX won't be touched.

LOL, "The mouth which is busy smiling cannot bite." Yeah, I bet that hits home for Milchick.

  • Some say this one is fake. I'm not convinced either way. While this may not have been the "manifesto" that was found on him when he was caught, why couldn't this have been written prior to the act and the one he was caught with written after?

  • For sure. Reforger was always meant to be a stepping stone to Arma 4.

What you said regarding mods is why I'm wondering how the modding community will react to the news. If mods are transferable to Arma 4, I would think mod development would continue. But I've seen some say they haven't put any effort into modding Reforger because it's just a stepping stone game.

  • 2027 is a ways off, but Reforger has improved quite a bit and should be enough to hold folks over until then. I do wonder how this will affect mods; Will mod creators delay creating new mods until 4 is out?

  • I was thinking the same thing. There are definitely restrictions on the size/function of guns, and you have to fill out paperwork, get fingerprinted, etc to get past those restrictions.

To buy any gun at a store, you also have to have a background check, which you generally don't have to do for knives.

  • Several years ago, I contracted for a short time as a software engineer for a team within Walmart that was working on an in-house digital label solution. It was pretty cool as it was all custom hardware running Android. I think the project probably could've been run better, though. I'd guess that's part of the reason they have taken so long to deploy some type of digital label solution, and ultimately went with a third party product.
