  • So many games have like ~10-15 seconds of unskippable logos whenever you open the game and it pisses me off every single time. I don't understand why they still do this.

  • Ehh, if you haven't gotten into it this far then I'd suggest waiting until release. Deadlock is still incomplete and has such radical balance changes each update that it's hard to tell what's going on. Most of the people playing right now have been playing since early access started, so you'll have a hard time finding players that are bad at it for now.

  • Do you have youtube premium by any chance? There's an "enhanced bitrate" option that's only for premium users. On base 1080p, it still looks like that screenshot I posted.

  • Once again a movie trailer with abysmal bitrate even at 1080p. What is going on with these studios and Youtube? This started being a recurring thing recently, the least they could do is upload the trailer in 4k.

    What are thooooooose!

Anyway, the movie looks alright. It genuinely feels like Logan but with a bow and arrow though, I'm kind of over the whole "gruff father figure defends little girl and teaches her how to survive" thing, though.

  • Pretty clever and surprisingly difficult, I was stuck on Bruce for the longest time.

  • Good call on removing it. Playing as Ashley sounds cool on paper but the missions where you played as her were pretty boring. So much running and waiting for the enemy to slowly walk away for 30 seconds. Resident Evil isn't known for its stealth missions.

  • Nor does Valve, since Arc Raiders was in the category.

Valve doesn't decide anything, the whole Steam awards are voted by the community. It's a popularity contest.

  • You got to see Princess Mononoke in IMAX? I'm so damn jealous, I've always wanted to see a Ghibli movie in theaters but never got the chance.

  • Excellent list, your opinions are pretty close with mine from the movies I saw here. I should really watch Begonia and Weapons.

  • "Somehow, Heihachi returned..."

  • but it remains to be seen wether CDPR will make the effort to customize the engine to suit their needs.

From what I remember they're doing so many changes to UE that one of their biggest changes is being merged into UE5 itself. Just because they're moving to the other engine doesn't mean they don't also have engine developers working on it. It'll likely be much more optimized than your typical unreal engine game.

  • I'd do anything for a Wipeout Collection port to PC. Really missed these games.

  • The compatibility layer has had significant improvements, most apps work fine now not to mention Valve's compatibility layer for ARM making games work. The Snapdragon laptops mostly flopped so you often see them on discount for $600 as opposed to the $1200+ they were introduced as. I think they have a good chance to be taken seriously.

  • Many people want to stay on Windows though. The problem with ARM windows laptops was the garbage marketing, overpriced laptops, and bad compatibility layer. That's all been more or less fixed, so I think the next-gen ARM chips will be big.

  • Finally got around to watching the movie so I thought I'd necropost a bit.

It was a 6/10 movie - not really shocked it did poorly. Everyone is rightfully hating on Jared Leto but he really wasn't the problem with the film. Almost every character sucked. I thought Greta Lee was terrible, either screaming and trying too hard to look scared or completely failing to deliver anything in what was supposed to be an emotional scene. The only one who put in the effort was the evil CEO, he was pretty fun.

Visuals were great. Soundtrack was great. Whenever we got cool Tron vehicles and action sequences I was happy, whenever a character started talking I instantly lose interest. The script is ridiculously dumb. My favorite part was when Jared Leto infodumped her entire life story while driving and she responds with "Being a human is... Hard...", did a child write this?

Anyway, decent movie if you can turn your brain off and try not to nitpick it.

  • I very very rarely pre-order but if reviews are out and you're already planning on buying it, it could be worth it. Some stores provide a discount for pre-ordering games, I got Elden Ring for 15% off before it even released which is nice.

  • I think it's less that they tried to improve upon season 1 and more like they tried to make it appeal to more people when it suddenly got popular. Season 1 felt very self-contained and genuinely tried to be a horror mystery show, the later seasons seem aimed at teenagers with lots of dumb teenage drama and quirky humor... I remember feeling some tonal whiplash going into season 2 but I guess not that many people noticed at the time.

  • More of an exploit than an outright glitch, but I loved how you can very easily kill Dragonrider in dark souls 2 by waiting for him to take a few steps, rolling next to him, and watching him nonchalantly fall to his death.

I did it every single playthrough and it's never not funny. Bless you DS2.

  • This is incredible haha, I love vicar amelia as a reindeer. I'd hang this on my wall!
