  • I think it would be best practice to also give a short description when posting a video. Otherwise there is nothing to go by other than a clickbait title. If you are keen to share it with us please also tell us a bit about it!

    Changeling - Changeling

Highly anticipated album for me with Fountainhead on the guitar, who played and wrote large parts of Obscura's Akroasis and is a very unique player using fretless guitar. Also vocals by Morean (Alkaloid, Dark Fortress). I somehow missed that the album came out a week ago, from listening so far it is really cool and quite out there.

    Panzerballet - Bleed

Jazz Metal rearrangement of Meshuggah's well known Bleed. They do some weird stuff with the tempo, which makes it pretty mind bending.

    Krallice - Psychagogue

Just got into them about a week ago. Many people seem to consider Years Past Matter to be the definite album to start with, but Psychagogue grapped me more - I'd say it has a proggier vibe, in parts touching some Gorguts ish and in places even Progrock tones.

It's also one of their shorter releases, making it a bit more digestible

  • It's easily said, but there can be some serious ramifications to this. What if the thing that was ok to post about some years ago now becomes outlawed and the state uses posts from the past to identify now illegal behavior (e.g. LGBT issues, political opposition/opinions generally, consumption of some previously legal substance like cannabis, ...)

The state might already have a copy of all your posts anyways to use that, but many states don't.

Coprophago - Time Zero (Tech Thrash with Jazz elements)

Got these recommended by the algorithm recently and really liked it. Rhythm side bit like earlier Meshuggah and the Jazz elements are really nice. Much prog such wow

Paul Wardigham - Enter the Metaverse

Noticed Paul wasn't featured on the sub yet - his debut album Assimilate Regenerate is one of my all time favorite electric guitar albums. Mindblowing technique with tapping sweeping and picking, really interesting harmonically with that spacey sound (he is heavily using the Lyidan Dominant mode amongst others) and colorful arpeggios, and there is always also a strong melodic hook to each song. Hope people enjoy it.

Christian Münzner + Justin Hombach - Arcturus Prime

One of the craziest guitar videos I know. Christian Münzner especially is just out of this world
