    STOP destroying videogames

This initiative calls to require publishers that sell or license videogames to consumers in the European Union (or related features and assets sold for videogames they operate) to leave said videogames in a functional (playable) state.

Specifically, the initiative seeks to prevent the remote disabling of videogames by the publishers, before providing reasonable means to continue functioning of said videogames without the involvement from the side of the publisher.

The initiative does not seek to acquire ownership of said videogames, associated intellectual rights or monetization rights, neither does it expect the publisher to provide resources for the said videogame once they discontinue it while leaving it in a reasonably functional (playable) state.

  • Ok, thanks for sharing how the system works. 600k more, then I really hope everyone shares! Can't give up without trying 😁

  • Socialism allows for both public and private ownership, individual freedoms, and democratic decision-making, while still aiming for social equality. Communism, in contrast, tends to involve total state control and often limits personal freedoms.

  • Relax and calm down. Drink coffee in the sun while reading a book. Buy an ice cream. Perhaps do some baking. Play ttrpg with some friends on Sunday.

  • Where can I get notified when this is available ? 🤔

  • We all want it to stop, but we also want to buy crap we don't need from Temu, travel by plane instead of by train, use AI for fun, cut down forests to make room for a new vacation house 😅

Perhaps everyone should get a fixed number of CO2 points each year/quarter (with rollover), and everything you buy (wares and services) have a CO2-cost.

  • Buying a new Tesla in 2025 says something about you as a person, and it isn't something good...

  • Does anyone really care what Vancy says? I feel like he is more like background noise in today's news picture 🤭

  • Always fold mine and put them next to my shoes. Then next time I leave the house, I put the bags in my car 🙂
