Sad that DB got changed, but it still sounds really cool

I'm excited for that spooky memento! The Craftening emblem is fun too

Thanks again! I'll let you know of any issues or feedback as the bot continues to post here.

Man those gauntlets are just so cool, I'm jealous as a Warlock main!

Not the craziest catalyst for Thorn, but I'm still excited! One of my favorite guns and I prefer it over Osteo. I bet it's great after the HC buffs, too.

Bungie's response to the crafting exploit

You will not get banned for doing it as Bungie doesn't issue bans for in-game exploits. You will be banned for any sort of hacking, external cheats, network tampering, etc.

This is literally the biggest and most game-breaking bug the franchise has ever seen. No contest.
I wish I was home to try before they all get reset, but I'm on vacation :(
Curse leisure! Curse it!

For a few hours after contest mode ended, it was still rewarding Necrochasm. It was fixed quickly, but it was there for two hours or so.

Hive portal at the HELM is fixed.
Best update ever

I think I'm most excited for Heal Clip Abyss Defiant. It's gonna be such a good utility gun.

We got through the first three encounters easily - Abyss in three attempts, Bridge in an hour or two, Ir Yƻt in two hours or so. Then we tried Crota for twelve hours until 8am until it wasn't worth it anymore and we went to sleep.
The worst part? Here's a screenshot from our very first final stand:

That expunge was so important on contest mode, but we just could never keep people alive to utilize it. If we had it, we probably would've beat him on that first final stand.

2023
Hope this helps š

Congratulations to rhe World's First Crota's End winners, Team Elysium
- Saltagreppo
- Quazz
- Moople
- VileFate
- Cruz
- Kyros

They said contest mode, implying one clear. If it changes, I'll update the post, but that's the wording they used.

Happy raiding tomorrow!

Sync has some issues displaying images embedded into post bodies. I still have Jerboa installed for if I need to view or make posts with them.

Same, and with Game Pass it was just a $30 upgrade. The only stuff I pre-order is stuff I know I'll like anyway - mainly Destiny expansions and TES/Fallout/Starfield. I'm gonna buy it anyway, why not pre-load it and play immediately?

If/when I finally build a PC, Intel Arc is going to be a serious contender for me. They're looking really good as they continue to support them.

Why would you even buy this? Literally just buy a phone mount and use your phone. This thing was a textbook example of a useless product.

It's worse. At least with the API down you can go to the vault, swap characters, etc. But loadouts are just gone now. You can use DIM loadouts, but I don't have my normal ones saved on there too, and I can't remember everything I use exactly. Hoping this gets fixed soon!

God that brings back memories. I mainly used it for Halo CE back on Windows XP still in like 09-10. Joined a clan through Xfire that I played with a bunch. Used it a little for Minecraft too! Those days on CE were the best.

Weavewalk Strand Aspect has been disabled
A sad day for Warlocks

Definitely why, it just dampens the momentum slightly. It totally makes sense, I just wish there was a different way they could do it without making you hold a button in between every kill. It's the physical action of that between every melee activation that gets really repetitive.

Thiughts on the Monte Carlo catalyst?
I messed around with it for an evening before moving to another build (can't wait for loadouts to be fixed!) and I really enjoyed it. I paired it with Winter's Guile for some crazy numbers. ~590k on a red bar! I did it on Strand with the new aspect, so I had woven mail up and full melee energy (because you mainly use the bayonet anyway) to have an escape card for when you get a bit too in the fray of things.
My only issue is chaining kills with it. If you get a bayonet kill, it gives you five stacks of Markov Chain, allowing you to activate it again, which is great. It gets a bit tiring doing it over and over. I wish they'd change it so getting a kill with it simply extends it, and just doing damage with no kill resets it.

This Week in Destiny - 8/24/23
Key new points this week:
- Guardians for Maui update
- Returning seasonal cosmetics (Season of the Worthy)
- Crota's End world's first race and contest mode information

They've already confirmed there's a Dungeon Key, and Wrath is the assumed reprisal next year.

As a Warlock, that Titan armor is making me pretty jealous. I love the flowers on it!

Reminder to claim vendor engrams and Season 20 rewards before Season 22 begins on Tuesday, 8/22
From this week's TWID:
As we approach the end of Season of the Deep, players should make sure to claim all engrams and other rewards before the new Season begins. Any rewards not claimed from non-Seasonal vendors will be removed at the beginning of the next Season.
Players should ensure that they have collected any earned but unclaimed rewards from their Previous Season Pass page for Season of Defiance.
Previous Season Pass rewards can only be claimed up to one Season after it concludes. Once we transition into Season 22 on August 22, 2023, the Previous Season Pass page will be updated for Season of the Deep rewards.
TL;DR: claim any vendor engrams from the Tower as they'll be reset on Tuesday. Claim any season pass rewards from Season 20 (Season of Defiance) here.

Doesn't really show anything new, but it sure looks cool

My first customized guitar: a Squier Bullet Stratocaster HT

Excuse the meh photos, but my pup Tippy should make up for them. Did my first ever mods and went all-in with a complete replacement of everything on a SSS Bullet Strat. Here's what I did:
-SSL-1 Vintage Staggered in the neck -SSL-1 Vintage Staggered RWRP in the middle -SH-6b Distortion in the bridge -CTS 500k push-pull tone pot to coil split the Distortion -CTS 250k pots for the other tone and volume -Fender five-way switch (to replace the Squier import switch) -Copper shielding on the pickguard and control cavity -Abalone pearl pickguard -Treble bleed circuit on the volume pot

Next round of upgrades will be tuners, attention to the frets, etc, though this guitar already plays just as well or maybe even better (IMO) than my Player Telecaster. The Distortion is perfect for my typical black metal, and coil splitting gives it tons of versatility for the other genres I like such as shoegaze, emo, and more

Season 22 Weapons Preview
Lots of great stuff here. Tons of tuning, exotic adjustments, and more. They've included a video preview of the Monte Carlo catalyst, the most complex they've done, and yes, it's exactly what you think! And Touch of Malice, my beloved, is getting a nice buff. Anyway, too much for me to add here, so dive in and point out your highlights in the comments.

Suggestions for customizing a Squier Bullet Strat?
I have a Lake Placid Blue Bullet Strat SSS HT arriving today that I bought (brand new) as my first guitar to modify. I'm also waiting on a new pickguard and a Seymour Duncan SH-6 to arrive as my first change. After that, I'm going to look into single coils to put in the neck and middle positions. I mainly play black metal (hence the SH-6), but also shoegaze, emo, goth, and general rock and stuff.
So, any suggestions for things to do? Could be for the guitar in general, or those specific genres. Any suggestions are welcome!
