Have to close that one now (first comment doesn't count cos it's in quotes) :)
Not sure exactly what the question is but I'm fairly sure the answer is yes. 😀 Anyone can start a Lemmy/Mastodon instance and anyone can create new software that federates with it.
The orangutan looks happy. Bet that is fun
Very cool! I'm still impressed by seeing anything 3D in a browser even though I know it's been possible for a while.
New rule: "No generative AI content"
I guess this is the end of the road for !aiart@feddit.uk - although it was kind of inactive anyway. I wonder if we'll remove posts retrospectively, maybe even both of them!
https://slrpnk.net/ comes to mind
I learned today that in addition to England, St. George is also the patron saint of Georgia, Ethiopia, Barcelona, Beirut, sheep and syphilis: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patronages_of_Saint_George
Mostly just defending against expansion in this position so this number of turrets is probably overkill.
I'm sure this design is a long way from optimal. My logic at the time I built it was something along the lines of:
This has given me some ideas for experimenting with different layouts, thanks
Good idea, would help keep them away from that bit of wall
Very true. There's a popular mod for it, and yes it's kind of overpowered: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Waterfill_v17 Although of course there are other mods that make the biters swim if you're into that
Just a defensive outpost for you to enjoy
Some random defenses from my vanilla game
Interesting. My first thought is that there's a massive difference between reducing stress and actually helping improve grades. Wonder if there's any studies on that across different ability levels.
Congratulations!
12 minors out of a maximum of 15, apparently the average is about 7 (for all tests, pass or fail). The examiner can fail you for 3 of the same minor but doesn't have to. So it might feel like you got slightly lucky, but the good news is you passed. I'd say most new drivers continue to improve for a while after passing so you have a chance to take on feedback from the test.
Enjoy your newfound freedom and happy driving!
I don't know how common it is, but I've definitely seen almost this exact technique being taught to native-speaking English kids in school as a way of helping with spelling.
I suspect some people do this naturally as well: sometimes for me it can be difficult to see "Wednesday" without hearing a little voice saying "wedd-nez-day" in my head. What's a bit weird is that the idea doesn't seem to have a common name. Maybe someone else will find it and let us know.
Nice job! Would fit well in an army alongside some dreadnoughts since they look kind of similar.
Welcome!
With as much butter as they can physically hold, all of it completely melted, and nothing else.
This is really fun! Reminds me a little of a B-wing which was always one of my favourites
My understanding is that this headline has been pretty much accepted as official by biologists for some time now, to the point where "non-avian dinosaurs" has become a common term for the extinct animals. So it's totally correct to say things like "I'm just going to the park to feed the dinosaurs"
This was satisfying to watch
I quit mine because it was about 80% lost dogs and cats
Happy St. Piran's Day!
