I have never bought native brand products specifically because the ads were all over the place and obnoxious. It created a negative association with the brand. The ads literally convinced me to do exactly the opposite of what it wanted.

Yes but if it ever goes into the shop a software update can teach it to misbehave when things are disconnected. An artificially weak signal, on the other hand, would fall under a practical failure mode they would have accommodated for in firmware.

Well the economic desperation is certainly on the horizon. People are held back by their finances and jobs right now. When they cant meet their needs any more, they wont hold back.

I'm not really sure what this comment was trying to do. I'm scared like anyone else. My fight or flight response is geared heavily toward stand-still-and-hope-their-vision-is-based-on-movement, so unless I'm fighting a t-rex I'm hosed.
