  • Here are the ones that I'm watching:

    • Beheneko - the associated manga is mostly fanservice, but the simple story pleases me. Knight dies in dungeon, reincarnates as a monster (a juvenile behemoth), gets confused with a cat and adopted by an elf adventurer. Ep1 was decent, might drop this off later.
    • Bogus skill «Fruitmaster» - sure, yet another "the useless skill is actually overpowered" series, but it sounds fun so why not?
    • Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of all Time? - I remember this one. I've read the manga a long, long time ago. Mostly fluff with a cute spider.
    • Salaryman ga Isekai [...] - okay, I'm excited with this one. Protag is an isekai'd salaryman. He doesn't get any cheat skill, he's still just a weak human, but the demon lord summons him to work as one of the four generals (shitennou) of the demon army because of his competence in Earth.

    Planning to watch:

    • I'm a Noble on the Brink of Ruin [...]
    • Unnamed Memory s2 - I picked the first season up on a whim and loved it, a nice sugary romance.
    • Magic Maker: Isekai Mahou no Tsukurikata
    • Dr. Stone - Science Future - fuck yeah Dr. Stone!
    • The Daily Life of the Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World
    • Even Given the Worthless «Appraiser» Class, I'm actually the Strongest
    • I May be a Guild Receptionist [...]
    • I Left my A-Rank Party [...]

I also picked Mononoke up to watch. It's a old series but I'll watch as if it was part of this season. You know, for rainy days and stuff.

    Happy New Year, everyone!

  • IMO the story of the two sisters is the best - the greedy hiding a universal human desire to be seen, the situation in Earth becoming shitty even if they genuinely cared about each other, simply because they did not see what the other was going through.

They also picked a rather fitting ability for the onee-san: since she felt like her youth was stolen, she is able to steal the youth of the others.

Sensei calling Wolff a playboy and telling him to shut up was also funny.

  • Geith getting his arse kicked is cathartic, but you know what would be even better? Seeing his brother getting slapped over and over. And penniless.

  • Ep7 had Tama getting some character development and background; this episode was for Nir. A coward and lying but precious boy.

By default most otherworlder in this series are arseholes, so it's nice to see another exception. And one leading to a deserved happy ending - Wolf man meeting with his friend in Earth again.

  • So Haga is not above "delaying" a bug report so he can benefit from the bug a wee bit more, uh.

Luu being resurrected without memories was sad, but predictable. Perhaps it's better this way for Amano, I don't know, so he doesn't grow too attached to the game world.

    Boss had it comin'.

  • Episode in a nutshell: a couple horny but clueless bakas.

At least their feelings for each other are a bit better conveyed in the animation than in the manga. In the manga some events feel out of the blue, but here it seems that it's building up nicely.

The coliseum CG is really jarring, but on the lighter side the characters are cuter. For Seras this is a given, but Eve also got prettier, without losing badass vibes:

  • I'm glad that Tama didn't leave the party, it would be damn boring without her. (And Sensei's disdain towards Nir's coffin-pulling skills was funny.) The mark of the divine beast felt a bit like a deus ex machina but it worked well in the end.

  • KS had some impact on me learning Braille. Okay, perhaps not as much as Aldous Huxley saying that it's comfy to read with your head under blankets, but still.

  • My sides went into orbit as the dwarf was explaining that bikini armour was just the old DM's fetish.

  • I bet that the boss told Amano that Lu can be resurrected just to be left alone.

  • Oh, we're moving into the Sweaty Feet Arc! Because, you know, fungal infections in isekai are serious business!

Okay. Serious now. I get that the author wanted to make Dahlia's tools something mundane and relatable. Still fun to watch, and I'm glad that I picked this series up.

The episode also shows Wolf's relationship with his older "girlfriend"; it's clear that she isn't romantically interested on him or vice versa, but they seem close enough. More like friends pretending to be a couple for the convenience of both. I think that "Vee" is Wolf's mother? The fact that his pseudo-girlfriend has a portrait of her shows that they were likely close friends. (She's nice-looking, refined, by the way. But Dahlia is still cuter.)

  • The runaway bird returns to the cage.

Another great episode. The "random party member with a shady background is actually royalty" plot twist was kind of obvious, but now we got to learn Tama's actual name. Who cares, she's still Tama.

The king seems to be manipulative, but he still cares enough for his daughter to jump into danger for her sake. It looks like overprotection from a distance.

  • Classical game exploit - tanking framerate on purpose so you have more time to react!

  • To be frank this episode was a bit of a letdown for me. It does explain why the Emperor wants to see Seras dead, why Civit is so bloodthirsty, why Touka didn't use Pigimaru right off the bat against Civit... but the manga chapters do all of those in a more exciting way, less as "passing comments" and more as part of the plot, you know?

Plus the scene where the Emperor was losing his shite thinking on Seras is way funnier.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still watching it, and I'm enjoying the series. But it could be better.

  • Of course they'd put Luce on the foreground, with the main character (Elma) on the back. Still, the picture looks really good, and as Phelpssan said the series is solid. I'm going to watch this one for sure!

  • As another user said I'm giving it one more episode, but seriously considering to drop it.

  • I'm guessing it because I didn't read the source material, but Kai and Sid are likely the same person. It seems like there's some sort of time loop going on, not just the world going into a "what if". (If not Kai himself, Sid must be someone close to him.)

  • I'm still flinging back and forth between "I'm glad that I picked this up" and "I'll keep watching it because, why not?". But my overall impression is really good.

  • Oh, they skipped the part where Touka destroys the inn's wall by buffing Pigimaru up!

Touka is genuine on wanting Seras' help, even if so far it's always him saving her arse. It's less as a bodyguard though and more like a walking lie detector.

As well as the similarity that Seras sees between the Princess and Touka - unlike other people, they're looking at what she can do for them, not just for her beauty. So far the anime did a poor job explaining it, but Seras is in-world so beautiful that she drives people mad lusting over her.

Telling Seras to take off her clothes is not in the manga. I wonder if it's from the LN or anime only. Kind of cringe but still funny.

  • The relative slow start of the series paid off really well in this episode.

One aspect of how the writer was written amazes me: Sensei's trust on Annette feels natural. Because it isn't based on wishful thinking or something like this, it's simply knowledge - he's really good at analysing people, to the point that he knows Annette's strength of conviction better than Ysha, even if the later knows Annette for longer.

As well as his words still resonating within Annette - "you aren't a caged bird".

There's also some nice tragedy in Pochi's cheat skill Suzuki's divine gift being a replica of his experiences in Earth, only with the roles switched. (Pochi is a common dog name in Japan, by the way.)

    The Ride-On King

Tired of protagonists who are losers in Earth, then "magically" become successful in isekai? This series is for you then.

The main character (Purchinov) is a president of some "random" Eastern European country in Earth. He looks like Putin, but don't worry - he doesn't behave like him, and the manga is not political soapboxing. (Otherwise I wouldn't be recommending it). With an obsession to ride every critter out there.

Yes, the premise is that silly. And the series as a whole, Purchinov is that sort of MC that's actually competent at what he does, except when he sees a critter. "I want to ride it!"

Since a pic is worth 9001 words:

This is from ch3 for less spoilers, but keep in mind that the series is around ch60-70 as of now.
