Ja, ausser man will zusätzlich noch dualboot. Zumindest bei Ubuntu war das nicht im GUI installer möglich. Mit ein bisschen crypttab hacking gehts natürlich trotzdem

xdg-open FILE - opens a file with the default GUI app. I use it for example to open PDFs and PNG. I have a one letter alias for that. It can also open a file explorer in the current directory xdg-open . . Should work on any compliant desktop environment (gnome/kde).
cd - undoes the last cd. Not quite push/popd but still useful. Pro tip, works also: git checkout -
Wow, mehrere Linux NutzerInnen in einer Klasse. Das war sogar bei uns in der Naturwissenschaftlichen Vertiefungsrichtung damals (early 2000s) nicht zu finden. Wobei, vielleicht waren die Hürden damals grösser, oft gab es nur einen Familien PC, und wenn man den mit einer halb funktionierenden Linux Installation totgemacht hat, machte man der Familie keine Freude. Und da war natürlich noch das Problem, das oft Internet nicht funktionierte unter Linux (proprietäre ISDN Karte), und ohne Internet debuggen war schon damals schwierig, auch wenn Suse Linux mit einem 500+ Seiten Buch kam....
