The Red Green Show. It's just folksy enough to be relaxing, and it's nice that Red reminds you every episode that we're all in this together.
Hey, I was the same age. I've gotten a lot better but if I'd learned years earlier, maybe I wouldn't have had so much of my life where I was doped to the gills for being "weird and sensitive".
I've never been able to make it through an entire episode of Community, for the same reason. It's memeable, but I just don't find it funny at all.
Ooh, I love the original Gringo Bandito green sauce - have not yet tried the yellow. This looks absolutely delicious!
Gotcha! I've made enchilada sauce before but never used guajillo without tomatoes. It sounds wonderful! Thank you for this!
That looks delicious! Would you be willing to share the guajillo sauce recipe?
There aren't a ton of really good women in earlier WWE, but I highly recommend watching AEW for women with fun stories right now. The Timeless Toni Storm storyline is amazing, and you can find a video on YouTube.
For my money, the best lore and wild character work was in Lucha Underground. I don't know where to watch it right now, but it has dragons, zombies, moth men, phoenixes, and a crazy violent authority figure who runs the ring like a temple. It's incredible.
ETA my partner just let me know Lucha Underground is streaming on Cineverse, which is ad supported. Check it out! It's WILD.
Wrestling is kind of my thing, and if you want recommendations give me a shout.
The Undertaker was (for a long time) a literal zombie walking around by the grace of an urn held by his manager (and former real world undertaker) Paul Bearer.
Wrestling is full of dragons and monsters and people who can fly. It's magical.
He got punched in the face for being a white supremacist dickhead.
I think it's just a reference to being very far away from the speaker's main area of residence. Plus it just rolls off the tongue delightfully.
Hey, same! It's the time of year where I have to constantly remind people of what is and isn't acceptable to the state, and it's exhausting as hell. Top it off with a sore throat when it's already hard for me to speak loudly in a loud environment, and I'm in a shit mood today.
Hope your day gets better.
When I was younger, I was crazy about Idaho and wanted to move there. One of my old nicknames was Lil Miss Potatoes. Now I'm a grown ass woman, so I'm Lady Taters. People tend to think it's a nickname related to my chest though.
I heard it was a sick ostrich.
Echoing Zero Escape. The twists and turns of the series are absolutely magical, and I wish I could play the end of 999 for the first time again.
I got lucky and was there when my partner played for the first time, and watching his shock was a treat!
78 hours. I was 18, and anxious af about the situation my life was in. I don't remember getting tired or anything other than frantically cleaning the house and finally passing out in front of a ProActiv infomercial after scrubbing the hell out of the fridge. I was unconscious for about 10 hours (sleep is not the word for that state) after.
I am! I don't post much though.
I love both Penta and Fenix, and would deeply love to see Fenix vs Je'Von Evans. Right now I'm psyched for Wrestledream, but I'm not a Mercedes Mone fan and I think that's an unpopular opinion over in SC.
Also Emi Sakura is my Queen, full stop. She's just a fantastic person and has such a great career!
Hell yes.
Letterkenny and Shoresy are SO good. Jared Keeso is a brilliant comedian and has a knack for heartfelt story.
Also, wrestling counts. I'm an AEW girl but no tribalism from me. Who's your wrestler to watch, or storyline you love?
Extraordinary Attorney Woo - A Netflix K-drama about an autistic savant lawyer. It's charming, funny, and has a really beautiful story overall.
Bofuri: I Don't Want To Get Hurt, So I'll Max Out My Defense - a cute and fun anime about Maple, who doesn't want to get hurt in a VR MMO so she maxes her defense and becomes a hero.
I like light-hearted shows, so I'll be checking out a few of the ones in this thread 🙂
