  • Kino really has a sense of wonder and exploration that's hard to find. Made in Abyss also that kind of vibe but for all the wrong reasons, it's seriously fucked up.

If you're looking for something that won't traumatize, Dennou Coil is pretty good. I also liked Haibane renmei.

  • It's lemonaid, I swear!

  • Totally!

My kindle with the entire Expanse series of novels is my go-to solution for doom scrolling. I keep it handy around the dining room table, and I want to set a good example for the kiddo. Works pretty well since I can stay in the family conversation, absorb words, and put it down in an instant.

If you like paper, tons of bookmarks are a good thing to.

  • Nice Guy

  • The "yes and" method.

  • Is there a list of Libraries I can register online with if I don't necessarily live near them? Would like to expand my reach in libby.

  • Nemesis Games (Expanse Series) had bicycles. Not the strongest book in the series but Amos and Peaches learned how well bikes worked when the shit hit the fans. Very thoughtful authors.

  • Who would ever want to sneeze faster? 😄

My wife does this too, both of us have the reflex, I just happen to not enjoy sneezing?

  • Go play tunic!

  • Imagine something more valuable than your life. Every moment you think of a loved one being well you feel joy. When they are hurt you feel a physical pain in your chest. You would do anything for them. The world is no longer about you.

Looking from the outside that sounds like a very vulnerable and unattractive situation to be in. But I wouldn't trade it for the world.

(Disclaimer: It's still possible to hold unconditional love and betray that love in a self centric way, I have, but the above is how I would describe the 'feeling' of it)

  • It's coming

  • Juffo-Wup is the power of life... hot warmth in the cold Void. It flows through all things, binding them together, making them one. You are Non-Juffo-Wup, you cannot understand.

  • Count on it

  • 3

  • Needs to be a cartoon drawing

  • Probably looking for stories and here I gave some advice. Will sit down now and get some popcorn.

  • This is a very generic question but I think I know where you're coming from.

A lot of people react to things rather than consider what effect they want. Look at what you're doing, and ask yourself if you think this will get you the change or response you want.

i.e. Sometimes yelling, or flipping someone off at road rage can feel good, but it doesn't get that driver to reconsider their poor driving. Give them a shameful finger wag and you've got them thinking...

Pause and reflect on what you expect your behavior to accomplish.

  • So you're saying you agree?

Walmart is absolutely a result of capitalism, those intricate supply chains are in place to make money. Maybe we could do it without a common way to track needs for a while, but would it adapt? Would the alternative resist corruption better? The invention of Money almost seems an inevitable consequence from one perspective.

I don't think this answers the original question, but it's an interesting side topic.
