I think "mandatory physical versions" kinda misses the point of the issue, tbh. It's bad digital rights laws that are the cause of the problems that you've mentioned, not a lack of physical media. DRM has been around a lot longer than digital downloads of games, and shutting down a game's online services affects purchasers of physical disks just as much as digital downloaders.
Besides, mass-producing physical media is expensive, and I'd rather not give publishers another excuse to make games even more expensive than they already are.

I think the implication is that an anxious person would be so worried about the other person's model of them that it takes up all of the space in their brain.
This is one of those things where it's something weird published April 1st, but it doesn't feel over-the-top enough to absolutely be a joke. I have no idea if this is real or not lol
One point for the typewriter.
I don't think Morrowind needs a remake. A remake would likely try to smooth over the game's rough edges, but the rough edges are a big part of what makes the game actually work, imo.
Now, at this point I don't think I trust Bethesda enough to get an Oblivion remake right, either, but Oblivion was very much held back by technological limitations of the time, and in my opinion it hasn't aged very well. I can at least see the potential of an Oblivion remake where they don't have to be concerned about how much they can fit on an Xbox 360 disc.

Idiocracy gets the causes of its particular type of dystopia pretty catastrophically wrong, to the point of basically being inadvertently pro-eugenics ("society collapsed because stupid people wouldn't stop breeding" implies that intelligence is exclusively tied to genetics, which is... a very bad take), but it sure seemed to be an indicator of just how brazenly dumb things could get.
Why does everything have to be so fucking stupid? Is it really not enough that we have to watch the destruction of democracy happen before our eyes? Must it really be carried out by a group named after an early 2010s internet meme featuring a Shiba Inu with bad grammar? Do we really have to read serious reporting about the criminal connections of a 19-year-old government employee called "Big Balls?"
I just never imagined the fall of American democracy would be so... inane.
If a game hasn't been fully bugtested, I wouldn't consider it "done..."
I always love it when there's a bunch of extra nonsense to be found in the fine print of the packaging. It's like a scavenger hunt!
Is "really frosts my behind" an actual saying anywhere? I've never heard that in my life.
I mean if they wanted a tank commander they could've signed far cheaper than Darnold. I have no idea what they think they're trying to do... Are they selling off for a rebuild, or are they buying in to win now? They can't do both.
Seattle really is just tanking at this point I guess
Well, I guess "making your country such a shithole that no one wants to come here" is technically one way to stop immigration...

Wait, what is this about "modern people not seeing what's so horrifying" about Sisyphus' punishment? I've never heard of anyone who seemed to believe that.

I've only got a couple of Sbubbies left from my Reddit backups, but I haven't had the time to make any new ones...
Engagement Era gameplay
The spread of "skill-based" matchmaking and ranked competitive ladders largely took away a valuable communal aspect of online multiplayer games, IMO. Getting dropped into a match with a bunch of random people you'll probably never see again just makes things so impersonal, which can cultivate a lot of toxicity.
Some of the best times I've ever had with online gaming were from finding a dedicated server with settings I liked, hanging out there often, gradually getting to know the regulars, and becoming part of a community. I've never had that kind of feeling from a game with automated matchmaking.
Could they have made the headline any more misleading??
You could probably get one of those personal-size pizzas with plain cheese or maybe pepperoni to run around 1000 calories.
I didn't think Rodgers was gonna have a next destination. Even from a purely on-field perspective, he showed he was beyond cooked this season.
One of the most frustrating things about American sports is that the person who is perhaps the most important to a team's success - the owner - has almost zero accountability to anyone. Bad coaches and GMs can be fired, bad players can be cut or traded, but bad ownership is nearly impossible to remove.
Ideally, the fans would be able to hold ownership accountable by withholding their money, but between TV deals, sponsorships, and now shitloads of gambling money, it's virtually impossible to actually run an unprofitable professional sports team. Even if fan interest drops enough, it just becomes an excuse to relocate.
Fuck Haslam, fuck Watson. Cleveland deserves better.

Man, what a delightful little game. I guess it's not really "little," being a first-party Sony title and all, but it feels like a breath of fresh air compared to just about every other AAA-published title as of late. Cohesive, intuitive, and fun mechanics, whimsical environments with lots to explore, and not a single microtransaction in sight. Well-deserved Game of the Year.

I messaged some friends about a free game on Steam, but it seems the Discord preview disagrees on the price...

Seems I've found some of the neighborhood cats posing for their next album cover...

What do you think they should call their next release?

Options for equalizing temperature between the basement and the rest of the house in summer?
I live in a pretty old house in the midwest, built 1929, bought in '21, single-story, ~1300ish sqft, and with a large, spacious basement. Every time summer comes around I've had issues with the basement getting MUCH colder than the rest of the house (like >10 degrees F difference), presumably due to poorly-insulated floors and cold air sinking. The HVAC is still capable of keeping the main floor at the temp set on the thermostat, but the temperature differential indicates it's working quite a bit harder than it really needs to be, and is probably wasting quite a bit of money.
I'm planning on getting an insulation specialist in at some point to go over options for shoring up the insulation, but I'm wondering if there's anything else I could do to recirculate air in the basement through the rest of the house - even with good insulation, I feel like the laws of thermodynamics would still result in a basement at least fairly colder than the rest of the house.
Is there anything I could lo
