He fights the good fight but I don't like his videos very much because he's very whiny and annoying.
Tigers are just big cats.
Theres an app on Play Store called Backdrops. Beautiful wallpapers. Highly recommend. The Pro version is 5$.
I initially held on to the headphone jack but nowadays I've completely stopped caring. My Galaxy Buds 2 Pros are pretty dang good even by audiophile standards and the convenience of TWS is quite nice. For my wired IEMs the 9$ Apple dongle works just fine with my Galaxy S24+. Nowadays some IEMS also have USB-C version and I suspect that this trend will continue. Like it or not that jack will eventually become a thing of the past on the vast majority of consumer electronics, not just on phones.
Y'all would be surprised how many Facebook users there are outside of the west. In my home country of Vietnam Facebook is like Twitter+Reddit+more. It's the most popular social media app. Everyone is on Facebook. The government posts news on Facebook, academic institutions post news on Facebook. Everyone posts official news on Facebook. Hobbyist discussion happens on Facebook. Buying and selling stuff - also Facebook. Wanna watch short form/long form content? Also Facebook. Facebook Messenger is also the second most popular form of communication. But it is to us what iMessage is to Americans. If you're not on Messenger, fat chance nobody will talk to you. There's Zalo which is technically in first place but Zalo is where the Vietnamese government gets to exert its control and it's mostly to conduct business and talk to boomers. It's that bad. Facebook is also very popular in other Asian countries like India, Indonesia, Thailand and the Phillipines, although I'm not sure to what degree.
Nice. I love Gboard. One of the few things Google nails.
Some small but useful OneUI features for you Samsung users'
I haven't seen anyone mention Gboard yet so I'll say Gboard. Best keyboard on Android.
Y'all are so cynical around here geez.
My gotos for the last 3 years have been Spigen Ringke and Nilkin.
It's still a tiny echo chamber like it was a couple months ago when I cut back on Lemmy use. It can get pretty repetitive and boring to read. I came back to Reddit because the user base was larger and there were more perspectives I could hear from.
I use Samsung's T4510 charger and cable combo. For third party chargers I believe they need to be PD PPS3.0 and the cable needs to be 5A.
California has only counted around half their votes so a popular vote win for Kamala could be a thing.
So this is how a democracy dies...it votes for its own death.
Some devices taper off their fast charging faster than others. It doesn't have to be at 80%. Just as an example you can see the charts in the charging review for the S24 Ultra here: https://www.chargerlab.com/charging-review-of-samsung-s24-ultra/. A fun fact is that since Samsung 45W tapers off so much there isn't much difference compared to their 25W charging. The difference is 10mins at best. Sometimes the 45W can be just a hair slower even.
The 8 has a shitty optical sensor. You've gotta try those Samsung ultrasonic sensors or those on the Pixel 9s. Way different experience. Just a light tap and it unlocks.
I'm gonna have to say no to that. I love my ultrasonic sensor. It works when wet and is in a way more reachable location (the screen). No need to reach behind the phone or stretch your finger to unlock, no need to lift your phone when it's on a table. The success rate is basically identical and it's lightning fast, even faster than a physical sensor. The final perk is it doesn't create a large circle opening on the back of a case so the back of your phone is totally smooth save for the camera.
Skibidi toilet ohio rizz
Qualcomm settles and continues to pay ARM a bigger shitload of money, Qualcomm SoC prices increase to make up for that, phone prices increase further.
It was and still is good for the game. Minecraft would've died under Notch.
I was supposed to revise for my finals but the little jerk stole my chair

My government, ladies and gentlemen!
My country/city has a new COVID wave. I got infected for the third time.
Hi, I'm back with an update! My boy is almost done with the treatment! He's doing really well! One more shot left!
He's back to his playful self (yay!!!). He's running around, jumping, chasing stuff! Overall, he's just a lot more mobile. Also, he's gotten a lot more affectionate around me these past 4 days. Do you think he understands that by bringing him to the vet, I'm helping him feel better?
Went to the vet yesterday since my boy was acting weird. Turns out he was showing very mild signs of paralysis.
Vet said he needed shots to boost his nerves and if he doesn't respond well in a couple days he'll do an X-ray and decide on a further course of treatment. He's back to purring in my lap again. Hug your kitties extra tight for me tonight.
He got so comfortable in my legs he flopped over and fell asleep LOL. I really want to move but I don't want to wake him up so I guess this is my life now.
Why does my cat have a foot fetish?
Look at that happy lil face. So cute awww
My first Linux desktop
I think it's looking pretty good. Edit: My class is about to start so I'll try to post my setup when I get home. Thanks for the kind words guys!
Morning, ladies and gentlemen. Can I please see your loaves?
You ever think how can cats be comfy in the weirdest poses ever?
New restrictions placed on Xiaomi's bootloader unlocking process
Xiaomi has confirmed to Android Authority that its HyperOS phones will not receive updates if their bootloader is unlocked. Read on for more!
Seems like Xiaomi is heavily clamping down on bootloader unlocking in China. Global versions also have a new restriction: no updates without locked bootloader.
Libreddit's public instances shutting down due to Reddit's API changes
⚠️ PUBLIC INSTANCE SHUT DOWN ⚠️ As of July 12th, 2023, Libreddit is currently not operational as Reddit's API changes, that were designed to kill third-party apps and content scrapers who don't pay...
I was using LibReddit to check in once in a while, and it died today and Teddit instances are giving error 429 too, so yeah, no more Reddit from now on
oh hello hooman, what's up?
Walked out to the yard and saw my baby girl sitting like this.
Am I missing anything
Just checking, am I missing any Lemmy apps? My goal is to try them all. I'm mainly using Liftoff at the moment.
