Old Folks Gaming: Senior Edition

  • I wouldn’t put forward 0 A.D. in this situation. That’s a full-blown 3D game. Even Wesnoth and Orion might be a bit much for this case.

    • I just distro hopped after using a distro almost a year. Is it normal?

  • Oh yeh, totally normal. I switch distros roughly once a year and if I have more than one device on the go then I almost always have different distros on each of them. I think I was with Linux Mint the longest, but even then I switched DE at least 3 times.

  • Orion is a pretty nice browser! Quite customisable too. It’s made by the people behind Kagi, the private (paid) search engine.

    • Having to use windows at work makes me appreciate my desktop Linux experience at home.

  • I’m playing Pokémon HeartGold for the first time. I’ve always kind of liked Pokemon but I’ve never really gotten into one of the games properly, so I’m trying with this one.

  • I enjoy using Brave Search. But it sucks for images for some reason. I use DDG for images.

  • I’ve heard of Miyoo before. Glad to hear some first hand comments on it. I might be tempted. Is PS1 the newest console it can run? How about N64 or Dreamcast? I guess the controls might be an issue there.

    Also, isn’t Metroid Fusion a GBA game rather than Genesis? 😜

    My kids (2 and 4) can use chopsticks already. Plenty of restaurants around here where you won't see a spoon, fork or knife. (However, it's certainly possible to ask the staff for western cutlery, and in the main cities they're more likely to be prepared for that question)
