  • They will quietly rehire within 6 months. The wages will be cut and the quality of work will drop. But hey, that's how we keep this turd flowing, right?

  • No, you simpyfying it to the point of being not true. Furrbies had the delay built in that triger more complex senteces with time which sparked the dabage about their learning capabilities. Which sparked NSA policy - which you make sound like it was reasonable. It was clearly not. If they did a basic reasefch would uncover that the technology is not there.

And with AI weapons you miss forest for a tree.

AI doomsday PR stories are abuot terminator level of singularity. AGI, self+replication and compeleat autonomy.

Military people buying shitty language models and weapons with low-lewel authinomy that in nowhere near that, is obviously a problem. The Sam way that would entrust the ewpins to kids or Magic 8-balls. But it is not the proof it wasn't just PR. Its the proof that it worked.

"Stories about destroing the moon are not real? Are you crazy? Didn't you see the new crosbows they bought? Bolts fly so much higher then rocks we used to throw!!! You are in denial, my friend"

  • Pentagon once banned Furrbies - the toys - becouse they were amazed how fast they are "learning". This is 100% true, check it out.

Just before powerful people belive marketing lies it doesn't make them less of a lie.

  • It is corporate PR. Asking it is stupid in the first place.

  • Phew, dogged a bullet here.

  • Yes, sure, it was "let's talk about how to optymize our 'mmunition" kind of meme.

  • Controller because it's a much more convenient way of playing, mouse to line up area strike precisely to this one specific pixel that covers all enemies, and keyboard because I only have an hour of play. I'm not spending it on typing character names like Lafayette Liebhart with a stick.

    Obviously.

  • No it fucking isn't. While I agree (and hope) that it is most likely fake I'm fairly certain, that it was intended to to farm wholesomness and other warm feelings. If you laugh after reading this, you need to examine if you don't have some empathy deficit disorder.

Edit: OK there is a "thankfully they both died" at the end that was not part of the original tweet, that I missed. I was wrong.

  • I hate this story. If this was true he performed medical procedure based on incorrectly obtained consent.

  • It's nice that they embrace that facebook is a place where social media crowls to die.

  • They are all drowning in dept that is expensive for no fucking reason, that they have because they trusted you when you told them that this is a best investment that they can ever make.

Their biggest mistake was trusting in you ability to crate and maintain the system that can benefits anyone else than you.

    You failed them. Go away.

  • Those are reading glasses. And they are all out of books. Demons run when a good nerd goes to war.

  • Someone providing thoughtulful, datailed and truly personalized answer to question that is to user-specyfic to generalize is one of few things I reality like about social media.

  • He Who Fights With Monsters litRPG adventure. Amazing book disguised as simple fun.

  • There is a theory about the meaning of life in this show that I found profound.
