But they’re the only ones buying them!
I went to the mailbox today and then remembered it’s a holiday and there’s no mail delivery. So I went back inside and then saw an email that my UPS package was delivered. So I went back out and opened the mailbox and there was my mail.
Why don’t you post them here and advertise the links on your instagram page instead?
What's one real-world problem you wish crypto could solve?
I have not. I’ve seen crypto be highjacked by scammers and grifters who spew a lot of pseudo-technical nonsense and try to hype their business that doesn’t exist. I’ve seen coins come and go after they’ve been successfully pumped and dumped.
But I’ve never seen crypto solve a real problem.
The idea behind a blockchain is great and the list of pros is long. But… still haven’t seen it implemented to do anything useful.
I would like crypto to solve a problem.
Like your suggestion - could crypto help solve famine? How, exactly? Crypto isn’t something you sprinkle on a problem to fix it. It’s a very fixed set of technical specifications. So how can that be used to solve famine? Is famine caused by the lack of a publicly accessible ledger that requires proof of work? Or is famine caused by inadequate logistics and local politics? How does crypto help us get freighters of grain from Ukraine to Sudan? How does it offload that grain and see that it’s transferred onto rail and trucks to reach people in need? How will it ensure warlords and corrupt officials don’t redirect that aid to their own interests?
.
It had a rough night, too. It’ll show up eventually
A comms blackout isn’t a prelude to an invasion by the Trade Federation.
It’s just DNS. It’s always DNS.
I think it was the FDA, but with this administration I think every one of them is for sale.
Be a little bit evil. You know, as a treat.
Vote early, vote often. Keep out that Freedom Convoy ass kissing psychopath. Only takes ten minutes.
Vote early, but vote once, please!
I’m in the same boat. I like what the NDP has to say most of the time, but sadly that’s not the kind of election we’re having this time around.
I can help build the trebuchet.
Hang on. Ezra was the adult in the room??
Did not have that on my bingo card.
Maybe if he can tiredly adjust his glasses a bit more that will help something.
The housing crisis started over 30 years ago. The entirety of government gets to own this one.
Condensate pump?
You can also have fun with that one.
“I’m not racist, but why is the receipt printer at the self checkout always so low?”
“I’m not racist, but how come there’s no hardware stores close by?”
Let em spin their wheels trying to figure out what’s racist in a bland question.
Go back to learning how to not drop trophies, J.D. I think foreign policy is a little out of reach atm.
Canadian shoppers are starting a new habit. After checking an item if it is a US product they return it to the shelf upside down and turn several more of the same item upside down so the next shopper knows to skip that product.
Haha omg, I thought I was the only one childishly doing that. My grocery store must be really on top of re-facing their shelves, because I’ve never come across any upside down US products.
The biggest hint something is American is when the shelf is fully stocked and there’s lots of items missing from the nearby brands.
…for now.
And that ocean is preferably on a planet other than Earth.
City residents: install the CityFix app on your phone to report issues
YSK there's an app called CNV CityFix you can install on your smartphone that allows you to review and report issues in your area that the city should address.
Every once in a while I'll see some egregious graffiti, dumped trash, tree debris blocking a path, etc. More often than not, someone has already reported the issue in the app and the City is aware of it and adds it to their list. Within a few days (or less), a crew with the right equipment comes out and addresses it.
Being able to snap a photo and send the location to the city to put it on their radar is great for both parties. The city gets quality reports about issues quickly, and residents have a low effort way to get them dealt with.
You can also search for reported issues nearby, and there's often laughs to be had at people's descriptions of their perceived problems, or particularly witty ways people describe legitimate issues.
