Marching orders: make AI available everywhere you can. There are no concerns about where it gets data from. What could possibly go wrong?
Did they determine the cause of death of that cow? I would think any car that hit it would have received a lot of damage.
A house. Fuck moving every couple of years. Fuck landlords (especially the corporate kind). Hell yea having the ability to make changes and improvements. Obligatory: https://m.xkcd.com/905/
Hasn't the US government broken every single treaty with Native American tribes?
Because as far as I know, they only finished the immediate project that I was working on and didn't continue doing any of the next things on the roadmap that were sorely needed. A fintech company that somehow assigned zero importance to their payments system.
I did this recently. They "replaced" me with two engineers after I had been begging for meaningful help for months.
Musk is undeniably in the "uber rich" category. I argue that the difference between being a billionaire and a many-billionaire is mostly if not entirely academic in practice.
Any recommendations for city builders on the simpler side for when my brain isn't fully functioning?

US police (including border agents) are stealing things from citizens. It doesn't matter if you have bank statements or receipts if you are dealing with someone who will just steal your shit and claim legal immunity.
Tomatoes. I disliked them for a long time but a few years ago I tried them again. I don't remember how I made that decision - it may have been from forgetting to ask for no tomatoes on a burger but I ended up trying them more and came to like them. I don't like all tomatoes and not in everything, but I do enjoy them in sandwiches, burgers, and a few other things.
We have both MySQL and PostgreSQL in our production environment. Postgres is way nicer as a user of the DB. I created a document months ago outlining a dozen different things that Postgres does that MySQL either doesn't do or does worse. I can't speak to managing the DB as I don't have experience with that.
"Worm regards" just to be chaotic
I'm skeptical that anything legal will work for very long because they will quickly work to make said legal action illegal.
No one has asked the important question: what do you need the laptop to do on this camping trip? The answer to that will drastically change the answer to your question
The company I work at is considering moving some/all of the "not business differentiating" work (aka boring or terrible yet still critical work) to teams in India. I agree with roughly colocating teams (by time zone. Working 12 hours apart from half your team isn't practical). I disagree with the Indian teams taking all the bad/boring work.
Progressing languages aren't about computers. They're about humans.
Incorrect. There are a lot of companies that make silencers.
Damn. I'm impressed. How often do you get disoriented moving around and thinking things are smaller than they are?

Error when loading Ubuntu live USB

I've been trying to boot a Ubuntu 24.04 USB (please no discussion of distro choice) but I keep getting a very unhelpful error during the initial startup. I've tried using a different USB drive, a different USB port, booting from UEFI. The only thing that has made a change was booting into safe graphics mode. It got to the install wizard but when I got to the end of the wizard it gave me other seemingly useless error messages.
I'm concerned there's an issue with my motherboard but I don't have strong evidence to support this idea. I recently took a trip where the computer was fine before I left. I turned it off while I was away and when I came back my main drive no longer worked. I couldn't boot from it or even see the drive in gparted. I've replaced the drive without issue though. If my motherboard is somehow going bad, it's being very subtle about it. I was ready to blame Nvidia but when I got it into safe graphics mode, it didn't get to the point of having Nvidia drivers.
