I agree that would be helpful. I'm just going off what is available with what is currently available in the app. Ive only been on the website once so really don't know all the available data points

Community information doesn't show #members or #posts

So when looking at the Community Information in the sidebar it doesn't show the number of members or number of posts. I tend to use this information as a gauge of activity within the community. I can see this information when I search for the community though.
Is this a limitation of the system or something that could potentially be added to the app later down the road?

Cause Microsoft's history with security has been stellar so far.
Completely relate. It's frustrating watching someone LARP something you take pride in. Absolutely nothing wrong with disliking the guy for his actions. And hell, you can still not like him for this, with the knowledge he's not really in the wrong. This time.
V2V Respect.
Tradition sure. Most people don't. But they most assuredly can and do. I speak as the person who had to give a death by power point to my company due to a soldier in our unit getting into a scuffle with a civi that saluted during reveille and as per tradition PowerPoint/education based on history and regulations was the answer for preventive measures.
The only reason I even spoke to this now is the "stolen valor" aspect you presented initially and to inform the rest of the people that feel this is awkward for just anyone to do.
The truly awkward part is the way most do the "military" salute wrong. American or otherwise. I'd say it's a tell tell sign of them not being in the military but there are plenty of soldiers that don't do it correctly either so
So misinformed. Civilians absolutely can and do salute. They have since the beginning of time. It is a sign of respect and acknowledgement. Whether a full fledged "military" style salute or a hand wave like the royals and civilians do or a tip of the hat like "cowboys" do. There is no implied "stolen valor" if a civilian wants to salute another civilian or a person in the military or of high position.
And of course you can choose not to salute like I assume you do.
Edit: this in no way should imply I support the people in this article. Just stating facts
Every damned spreadsheet should have the header locked so that you can quickly know what you are looking at after row 25. You can't change my mind.
Can you shoot? Can you move? Can you communicate?
Then who the fuck cares who you prefer to be involved with!? Especially when a lot of soldiers/officers seem to like to be with other people's wives/husbands!
I also rest my fingers. I just got some 95g actuation. For me, perfect due to at my work using cut resistant gloves under latex gloves I miss fire cause I can't feel a damned thing. For home/gaming use, hell no. 70-75 is good for me. Everyone is different though. By some try them out to figure what you like. They aren't that expensive.
We are Americans.. nobody can divide us better than ourselves!!
Most structures are designed to deal with specific loads and stresses. If that structure experiences something it's not intended to experience then things like the tail being ripped off is not as hard as one would think.
violently booted from the game -- what did swat kick in their door and plant a boot in their chest then use their breachers kit to destroy their pc? Love hyperbole..
Racism. Christian extremism. Both not exclusive to themselves. Both have felt ignored and feed on the the thoughts of being victims due to their "unpopular" beliefs. There is much more to this subject but this is the best I can simplify it.
The more mainstream it becomes the more people will start hacking these systems.
You could get yourself a RF analyzer or an old Hammy (Ham radio enthusiast would likely have something you could borrow)and find out what they are using then that would allow you to figure out your options such as removing the antenna, sim card, or the module in some manner. The problem with removing modules could be they are tied into the cars electronic controller which could cause issues with the car even working.
You make it sound like these people have a bone in their bodies to take the fight to their government.. all a bunch of hot air. Even the ex military ain't got it in them. Not many people are willing to sacrifice their lives for their ideals.
Or start a music app.. switched back immediately when I couldn't do hands free while ride the motorcycle. And damn near everything requires me to login with the thumb app even with voice req
Has never worked for me either. Not for Lemmy and has never worked for reddit either. I do have show read posts off in my settings and it still doesn't work.
Yeah. This was obviously wishful thinking. It was also my knee jerk reaction to jumping on to AI with minimal research. I figured that it would be better suited for the whisper tts/stt but it just didn't run well. Then I attempted to throw HAOS various other versions of nix and that's when I threw in the towel cause the bootloader seems to do a sig check on boot. If it's not the Nvidia image it just hangs. Oh well. I now have an old comp running good enough to experiment with the likes of llama mixtral on just a 2070 with on average 2-3 sec delay. More if I ask too big of a question.
Yup bought the nano thinking it would be good for a home assistant plus some AI voice processing stuff and was severely disappointed. Not only is it slow but you are basically locked into Nvidias OS unless you know how to mess with bootloader's.

Prevent sensor sync when not connected to wifi?
As the title says, I currently don't have a reliable method to connect to my home network due to pivpn having issues. In the mean time my phone trys to synced sensors constantly and is one of the power sinks. Is there a way to turn off sync when I am not connected to wifi or even better when I'm not at home?

Saved communities don't show up?
I've saved many postings but when I go back to view them they are no where to be found. In fact some "saved" postings are ones that I would never be interested in saving in the first place. Maybe I fat thumbed them but unlikely.
Do saved postings only work for the instance that you are subbed to?

Is there a way to put a block option in the upper level menu/s? Or sidebar?
With the amount of content that I am not into seeing daily, sports, weird anime etc. It would be nice to have a quicker way to block individual instances.
